Starting center Scott Wells, who sustained a knee injury in Sunday's game against San Francisco, returned to the practice field on Wednesday as a full participant, and is probable for Thursday's game at Detroit.

Wells said the injury occurred on the first series of the game, but he initially thought it was just a bruised knee. He didn't participate in practice the last two days due to "a lot of swelling" in the knee, but said that had gone down and the MRI showed no structural damage.

The other players that are probable for Thursday are linebacker Brandon Chillar (hand), tackle Chad Clifton (knee), running back Ryan Grant (neck), defensive ends Cullen Jenkins (ankle) and Johnny Jolly (back), fullback John Kuhn (hand), guard Josh Sitton (back) and cornerback Charles Woodson (hip).

Tackle/guard Allen Barbre (ankle) and running back Ahman Green (groin) are doubtful for Thursday. Linebacker Aaron Kampman (knee) and cornerback Al Harris (knee) are out.
