I think the NFL should allow more teams to be community owned. But they won't. They like having that one main owner. Funny thing, very few of the teams are owned by one person exclusively. Most have multiple owners. Just not as many as the Packers. As to the stadium in MN. People are looking at the short term, what do I have to pay. It's half of one cent. That's $5 on $100. Yet how many of these people will go drop $40 bucks a week in beer or Cigs? That's why I say 1 cent on each bottle of beer or drink. The only people who can ***** are those that drink. And you don't have to buy alcohol. That is a choice. 24 cents a case. Most don't pay attention how much they are paying for beer anyway. They want it, they buy it. If the Vikings leave, and I think without a deal by the end of the season Zygi puts the team up for sale, the people in MN will be begging for another NFL team within 5 years. And by then a new stadium will be $1.5 billion. They let the Lakers, and Stars walk, and in both cases it cost more to get a team back. Never has a city lost an NFL franchise in the last 50 years were they did not try to get one back. And in each case, it cost more then it would have had they worked to keep the original team. Just ask Houston how much it cost them. They hemmed and hawed till the Oilers left, "We don't want to spend the money on a new stadium" well they did, and more then what they would have had they kept the Oilers. Learn from other cities mistakes.
