Look, if Aaron is the best, which I think he is, he has to disregard what he sees on that particular play and live or die with himself. The ball MUST be in his hands. It just has to be. And then, when it was in his hands in overtime, he didn't come through. The situation is that we are driving at home with Rodgers at the helm, about 10-15 yards from field goal range in a 2nd and 2. What a spot to be in. After everything that transpired, Clay's penalty, Vikings's comeback, everything, and ALL you need is a field goal, I'm sorry, you have to seal the deal. Not only that, but Aaron fumbled on a playfake that certainly looked like it had the defense fooled. Not to mention the poor clock management at the end of regulation. Of course, stuff like that is always a combination of the QB and coach, but as the hundred million dollar man, the face of the franchise, Rodgers has to shoulder a lot of the blame for the offensive ineptitude at times. I'm not saying he played poorly, but he had so many different opportunities to take command, instill more confidence, and manipulate the way thing played out differently. When his best was needed, mentally and physically, he was not at his best. He was not the best quarterback on the field on Sunday, and I'm sure he would admit as much. That being said, I still think he is the best quarterback in the league by a wide margin, and expect him to be pissed at how this one played out. I expect him to come out with far more urgency next week, and especially when they find themselves in a situation like this again. It will be a lesson going forward to the entire squad that you can't just sit on a lead, and that every single play matters. Don't take anything for granted. Perhaps this will be a blessing in disguise, and this will incite this team to more urgency collectively. I guess I just, admittedly, hold Aaron to a ridiculously high standard, and would expect him to cash this one in 99 times out of 100. Yes the officiating was horrendous, yes MM was sometimes a hindrance, but that game just has to be won. I definitely have complete faith in Rodgers moving forward.

Side note: I really hope King is alright, he stood out before exiting. He really is a special talent, but it would be unfortunate if his career got derailed due to constant injuries. Also, Brice is just awful.

[QUOTE="Arod2gjdd, post: 787823, member: 2819"] In response to the multiple people questioning me for listing Rodgers as a dud: Look, I've watched almost every snap Aaron Rodgers has ever taken. He has set a certain standard with his immaculate play, and he is the reason we win. He can't just be good, he has to be the reason we win. This was so reminiscent of the NFCCG in Seattle.
