Bedard Monday, Sep 8 2008, 05:01 PM Green Bay - Welcome to overcast Lambeau Field. The NFL regular season is, finally, here. Here are some pre-game notes: Packers inactive are: QB Brian Brohm (3rd QB), CB Pat Lee, S Charlie Peprah, C Scott Wells, G Josh Sitton, TE Jermichael Finley, WR James Jones, DE Jeremy Thompson. So, as usual, Jason Spitz will start at center and Tony Moll will be at right guard. That also means that LB A.J. Hawk has been cleared and will start. Vikings inactives: QB John David Booty (3rd), S Madieu Williams, CB Marcus McCauley, RB Maurice Hicks, LB Erin Henderson, OT Drew Radovich, FB Jeff Dugan, DT Letroy Guion. There are no starting lineup changes for the Vikings. Before he headed in to the locker room to get dressed, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers visited for a few minutes with Hall of Fame QB Steve Young, who is here with ESPN. Young obviously knows what Rodgers is going through following Brett Favre. Young followed Joe Montana, who was traded, in San Francisco. Young and Rodgers also share the same agent, David Dunn. New long snapper Brett Goode and punter Derrick Frost are working on the field. They need all the work they can get together. The weather forecast is for temperatures around 53 degrees, and there is a 22% chance of rain during the game. [/QUOTE]
