They are just bitter. I mean think of the past 54 weeks. It has been quite a strain on them!
- Brad Childress gets a contract extension
- They were driving for a field goal that would have put them in the Super Bowl. They had one of the best kickers in NFL history at their disposal to get them there.
- 12 men in the huddle
- Favre throws another inexplicable interception. No Super Bowl
- Brett Favre decides to come back, requiring the 3 amigos to drag him back. His schtick got another $4 million out of the Vikings
- They start out 1-3
- They trade for Randy Moss - THE MISSING PIECE!
- Moss trade is an epic fail. They still continue to lose games.
- They cut Moss.
- They get killed by the Packers
- They fire Childress
- There's a silver lining though! The Packers are sucking and will probably miss the playoffs. WOOHOO at least we can hang onto something!
- The Packers win their last 2 games and get into the playoffs. That's OK, because Rodgers is a big game choker and can't win in the playoffs.
- They won't beat the Eagles though.
- The Packers beat the Eagles.
- They won't beat the Falcons though.
- The Packers crush the Falcons.
- They won't win in Chicago though.
- The Packers beat the Bears.
- They won't beat the Steelers though.
- F#*K!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a microcosm of the Vikings entire history. It is a beautiful thing.
While this is awesome as it is, if you don't mind, I would like to add the following reminders.
22. Metrodump collapses because some genius didn't think it snowed in Minny. Ever.
23. Vikings have to move their last two home games to other venues where they lost both times.
One of them outdoors. Being spoiled in an indoor facility didn't help.
24. Their QB, once an all star, had his worst season ever. Capped off by not making it to 300 games started. (297 just doesn't have the same ring as 300, does it?)
Taken out by North Division Rivals: Da Bears.
The Iron Man is now the Rust Man.
25. The Rust Man was cocky, but not in a good way when there was a sex harassment scandal against him.
26. The Vikings were at the top of the NFC just a year ago are now sharing the bottom of the pit with the Lions.
(I think they are below the Lions even though they both ended up with the same record.)
