Now he has proven he is (at worst) an "adequate" passer and he has legit 4.4 speed as a runner (He didn't run at the combine, but clocked a 4.37 in college. That would've been the second-fastest ever QB time if he'd posted the same at combine). I think LaFleur is a pretty clever offensive mind so I trust he'll be able to find some sets where we can still utilize that talent.And maybe it is premature, but I really hope we can hang onto him for a while as our backup. If nothing else, I think Love's early injury, Willis' success, and our previous experience with lesser backup QBs has really highlighted just how important it is to have a decent backup on the roster...unless we get a really great offer I'd rather see him stay, assuming he's good with it... At this rate though he will probably have starting offers sooner than later. Such is the plight of having a decent backup QB...</blockquote>
