It’s looking more and more like GB earned combined Draft capital of an approximate #150 overall selection. That’s in today’s asset column, which can’t be stressed enough. The Draft Chip deposit goes in next week! Here’s a guy that comes in and really had a nice pair of dynamics seasons. Across his first 2 years he logged 500 yards per season 4.5 TD per season 12.6 yards per. His 3rd season did take a production drop to 330 yards and 2 TD’s, but nothing too drastic as he concussed and missed several games in January etc. Not bad at all for a Mid RD5 selection. What’s amazing is that we bought him for #159 overall draft collateral and recouped equivalent of a #150 overall. I wonder what % of players apply a Cap cost under $970K annually ($2.9Mil 3 seasons total) and then trade, bringing a net Draft Collateral refund? That’s a Champion GM move already and I’d argue even if GB has ZERO impact from either draft pick his total package production FAR exceeded us getting his services for $970K annual and a net positive Draft collateral spent. His services NET us a #200-220 overall free selection upon trade in and the residual refund deposit hits your account next week! That’s like Honda telling me they’ll lease me a 36 month Accord, ZERO $$ out of pocket. A $197 monthly payment and at the end the value exceeds residuals by $1000 They notify me my refund is $1000 cash and it’s a Wire Transfer next week! Then it Turns out he was a 6cyl EXL Navigation! I’ve only got 1 question? Can I use that as down payment and repeat that please?! PS I could care less what happens to that used car. It matters absolutely nothing to me.
