At least that's a possibility.

I love the way trade downs usually get thrown around with no consideration as to the trade up.

Any kind of trade down has to be juicy junior.

Only the normal 2nd and 3rd rounder to drop back 7-12 spots. If you get an additional 7th rounder in the deal, that's just gravy.

Probably because TT has shown a tendency to trade down rather than up.

Sorry i meant people band about 'trade down' options with no consideration as to who actually trades up in the deal.

Sounds like Thompson got a couple of low ball offers for pick 30. Probably feelers from GM's hoping he desperately wanted out of the 30 slot. I wonder if he bothered with a counter-offer?
