Message: <blockquote data-quote="Mondio" data-source="post: 888155" data-attributes="member: 10441"><p>I would never trade for that contract.  He's not heading the right direction.  All those injuries and surgeries are going to add up quickly.  Redoing a contract is just giving them more up front to spread it out over the long term.  If it's a player you plan on keeping for a while, like a QB, it may be worth the risk.  Doing it for a player that is likely going to be a FA because nobody is going to trade picks or players for the opportunity to pay him 17 million bucks and have the odds stacked against the he gives them a full season, let alone 2 or 3.</p></blockquote><p></p>
