    Chet Atkins has to find a place on this list, though.

    It's gonna be hard to pick the top five. Allman should be in there, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, little known Phil Keaggy.

    The problem with that list is that it was decided in single elimination head to head matchups by online voters. Not very credible. A lot of it is always going to be subjective, but lets see if we can find a more credible list;

    This list gives reasons for each choice;

    Here's one where guitarist themselves choose;

    Here's another online voting one, but I don't like those, because it's an inaccurate sampling.

    While she might not deserve to be on this list, Orianthi is making a name for herself in the music world with her guitar! Not to mention, she has a pretty good voice too.

    All mentioned above are exceptional, but I need to throw one more into the mix. Joe Bonamassa definitely needs to be on the list.

    Tough to pick top 5 due to the number of different styles and eras
    I think in the more modern era Id ad
    Dickey Betts
    Yngwie Malmsteen
    Vivian Campbell
    Jeff Beck
    Al Di Meola
    Paco De Lucia
