Todd Stoffel, of Marathon (Wis.) High School, has been named Green Bay Packers Coach of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday.

Stoffel is in his eighth season as head coach and 11th with the Marathon program. After qualifying for the playoffs each of the last two seasons, the Red Raiders are off to a 7-0 start in 2009. By virtue of their 21-7 victory over previously unbeaten Stratford on Oct. 2, Marathon is now positioned atop the Marawood Conference standings as the postseason approaches. Even more impressive was that the team's win at Stratford handed the Tigers their first home loss since the 2001 season.

"Our motto is to 'Take The Next Step', and to beat a program like Stratford on their home field really says a lot for our players and coaches," Stoffel said. "It also shows the commitment that has been invested over these past few years."
