I think that ends alot of the speculation.. it is obvious to me, unless MM is out and out fibbing.. that there was plenty of communication back and forth on this deal and Brett knew he was wanted.
Now.. could have Brett wanted more activity, that is possible, but I think there is no question that Brett knew MM wanted him there.. no question in my mind about it.

You know, Ted actually has a funny side to him. Came out well at times in the press conference. ("the little boy inside all of us" and talking about Favre's commercial)
