What about it guys.... Anyone ready to call the winners & losers?
How's about joinin' me on the HBO site...?

    http://www.hbo.com/apps/inflpicksgame/pickshome.do

Just sign up and list your given Username here - we can all add them as needed.

Marino's not really very good at this, ya know!

    **EDIT**

Obviously, my sign in name is IPBprez.... You'll see the section where you add extra names beyond the Show Co-hosts!

    *** DOUBLE EDIT ***

One other thing - I've usually taken the USA Today / NFL Football material as something worthwhile... try reviewing "Sheridan's Odds" which gets printed up on Friday's and is usually....... what most other local town newspapers will re-print on the Sunday papers Sports sections (Doh).... What I'll do, buy the Friday printing of the USA Today... and then take it with me on Sunday to see how well it all worked out.. or was I even more psychic than Sheridan (??) -- the other guy is Pete, but he's mostly a clown --- Bradshaw & Co on FOX (Sunday morning) are pretty fun to watch if ya can get past what's her name on the weather... and Jimmy Kimmel is prognosticator, either...

Usually, if you read CBSsportline and watch the AP - you'll do pretty well.
Sheridan's more right by 40% than he is wrong, tho'....

You always have to pick some upsets. I picked
    Miami over Denver
    KC over Jets
Tampa over Vikings yes wishful thinking

Remember guys - there's always that "proverbial" off week....

Usually, you'll find with research that most times the Home Team gets the "W"
(not always, but you get it)

Then, there's that OFF WEEK... no telling when it'll happen...
(never could tell if the Refs were workin' for the Bookies, or not)

What the rest of you Super-Gurus....? Let's go guys.. time's a gettin' short....
(Hate to see a few of you down by entire week's picks....)

Hey IBPprez. I went to a Packers preseason game in Indy the year they went to the Superbowl XXXI. It was the last preseason game and the Packers kept most of their starter out. Of course Lindy Infante ran up the score with his starters to make some kind of point :loser: We had a huge banner in the end zone on a sheet that said " Favre + Brooks+ White= XXXI" Our prediction came true! I still have that banner. I let local and travelling Packer fans sign it. I had all kinds of names on it.

same name as well. I just looked at the hosts picks and was amazed that none had picked ATL over PHI. Well....I did!
Hog, I sure wish you went to the TEN preseason game with a banner this year!

I wish I had maybe made a banner:

    Favre to Walk

    Yet short of our Reach

    If only we could have

    Vonta Leach

Tired and just joking and have a good night all! Later this week
    :)

I hope you guys were awake enough to make sure and get your picks in before the Pats/Raiders game tonight...
If you didn't pick for a game - then it is considered a loss as far as your running total is concerned....

I had already chosen the Patriots this time around... they're ahead in the third quarter by about 8 points.....

Tough titty there Tromadz... you shoulda asked me..... LOL

I have FIVE away Teams chosen this week - all the rest are home teams as Winners...
'Course, the Packers are one of those away Teams... DOH!
Rarely do I pick the Pack as the Loser... what the heck.....

Otherwise, I have Bronocs, Jets, Hawks & Rams as Away Teams who'll take their games....
I'll read up on how well I picked these games by measuring what Sheridan says in his column TODAY...
Remember, it's in USA Today... and he's a pretty good barometer..

Well - seeing almost all of the Playoff teams from last year "blow it" in the first week sorta blew my coverages....

Had they won like most predicted...? I would have went 12-4
Instead, like most of the rest of us... I went 6-10

Gotta make up for some solid ground and pick em good this week.
Can ya believe it - one moron went 15-1 with all the upsets out there...
That guy must have a way of logging onto the HBO server... that's just nutz...

Well thank you for the "upset picks".

I still blew it picking Chicago, Carolina, San Diego, Seattle, Packers.

I still believe you have to pick upsets early in the year. I just did not pick enough of them!!

I laugh every year because the in the office pool for the first few weeks it is people who know nothing about football that win. The gal that won had a better experience in one city than another and she once had a flight stop over in Philly and had to buy some shoes that fell apart so she didn't like Philly and picked Atlanta. Had a friend in Dallas so picked Cowboys over Chargers. She took about 5 minutes when some struggled for two days making picks.

My name there is the same so I don't have to remember so much.
