Not crazy at all and nothing should ever be out of the question in this league. Malik gave us a triple threat. Play action and if he’s flushed he’s a dangerous Runner (averages 6 per). So that’s one valid way of looking at it and banking the $$ for other positions and building around gradually. That a you wouldn’t feel bad about spending a Day 2 pick on a substantial Backup QB with great upside than slides out of RD1. What i see is a more traditional really good pocket passer with moderate legs too. He’s had a 1st starting season and took us to a Divisional. Last year our OL was similarly in shambles and by most metrics was actually bottom 1/3 of the league. Many reasonable excuses but Love was not a benefactor of a good OL and he still performed moderately good. He also lost 17 combined games of Watson and Reed and then lost much of Kraft. So not ideal weapons without a true standout WR. It was WR by committed and Doubs stepped up. In 2026 we go in without a healthy Zach or Banks which were hurt much of training camp. Brian gambled a little bit and lost. Easier to look backwards and say he should’ve signed a veteran but maybe his intel was Zach was fine. In real time Jordan had the least experienced OL to ever set field in GB. O actually counted at one point 14 total Starts FINISHED at respective positions. I’m not counting 1/3 games etc. that’s TOTAL across 5 positions. Love is lucky he’s not injured. 1 player we just signed has 230 Starts at 1 respective position. Landen has 136 complete games at LG. Big difference.
