Before last month yes. The Packers will absorb $65Mil in Cap for the Micah trade across the 2025-26 seasons. Now granted, some Cap application was already being calculated into the surplus numbers prior to this mega trade. That number off top of my head was around $64Mil reserve Cap across both 2025-26 balance sheets and it included Clark’s soon to be inflated $$ in 2026. Yet we just added $8-10Mil in 2026 and $32.5Mil (average added) in 2025. In short we are our entire 2025 surplus AND added another $10M+ off our $32Mil. Leaving into a $20Mil-25Mil for 2026 books. Keep in mind that didn’t include in season injury adds, practice squad and the last several players on the Top of the Roster in 2026. That more than 1/2 of that spent. Meaning we went from $50-55Mil across 2 seasons, to around $15-20m of “realistic” cap to retain players and shop. Now we can use voids and restructured and widdle the $$ up here and there. But trust me there’s only so many $20Mil contracts we can sign. We just extended Watson and might get Quay locked down. We’re spent without restructuring and adjusting signing bonus’ etc. The rest is pushing into the future by my estimation. We can’t just “freely spend accordingly” What I’m trying to say is we already did take the approach of “feel free to spend accordingly”. Next will be maybe adding 1 or 2 more mid sized deals and then comes bargain shopping. Luckily many of our other players are still locked up contractually. That’s why imo we’re scrambling to get one last deal done. The rest will be small incumbent resigns or outside small FA deals. Then we can maybe free up some cap with restructured contracts and push forward cap to go after 1 more player like Walker. But after that she’s on fumes IF we remain disciplined. You’ll see the restructures coming before the 2026 season. We’re not in a position to go “freely spend”. Spending past Quay will be heavily scrutinized. Every dollar will come from restructured and shuffling Debt forward. Thankfully our entire Rooms at WR/TE contracts combined are like 5-$10Mil less than Amon Ra St Browns $$$ so we’re ok but lopsided
