How did we not take Tiny Richardson or an inside linebacker? I'm going to cry myself to sleep. Maybe my dreams will comfort me...

I'm ok with the first 3 picks, the but the Rogers pick looks like another TT reach. Antonio Richardson or Pierre Desir would have been much better IMO.

Maybe in round 3 Packers can get Shane Skov at ILB?

Watch all the ILBs get picked right before we're about to draft.
Cause if there's one thing teams like the niners/steelers/ravens totally need, it's more linebackers.

I wonder if this is how WR needy teams feel about us whenever we take a Randall Cobb or Nelson early in the draft.

Yawin Smallwood is still on the board, I think he would be a steal if the Packers were able to draft him today.

I know we already drafted a WR and TE, but Brandon Coleman has had me intrigued for a few weeks. He could be a monster down the sidelines and red zone.

I hope we come away with a LB and Center the rest of the way. If we do, i'll be happy with this draft.

Smallwood and Shayne Skov are still out there, unless there's another sleeper TT has his sights on. Smallwood would be my choice, as his stock seemed to have dropped mainly due to a hamstring injury.

Ikard would be great. This year was really slim pickings at ILB, and I'm not smitten with anyone left. Would be worth it to take a project player at the position though. Still in need of a CB as well. In fact, I'd put CB at the top of my wants list.

Also, call me crazy... but another highly regarded WR wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Otherwise, after taking some iffy picks in the 3rd, I'll be happy to just see BPA, whatever the heck that position is.

Barrow could add weight to give us quickness and coverage ability at ILB.

Iffy picks in the third is right.

I think McGill would be a good pick in round 4 if he's still on the board. Only 9 corners have come off the board so far, so he might not be around for our turn.

Big, fast, athletic corner with very good closing speed. Athletic measurables are exceptional...6'3" / 212 / 4.44 / 39 vertical / 10' 9" broad. Injured shoulder in 2011 resulting in switch from safety to corner.

Corner / safety swing man reserve and gunner to start out, making Bush expendable. Needs work on fundamentals; too much of a straight line player at this point. Developmental guy with cover corner potential for 2015 and a guy who can push House for the Williams replacement spot.

I really like McGill and Walt Aikens. But I think if Desir is there, TT will take him.

I don't see C as a draft need. I don't think we are going to get an ILB that will represent an immediate upgrade. I do believe Christian Jones would be an immediate upgrade - but the failed drug test will likely rule him out going to the Packers. But who knows? Maybe the drug test is for something explainable, I don't know.

Regardless, we can see if Jones develops into an effective MLB, and for Center? Tretter has potential and if it doesn't look good, we can always look for a cap casualty vet later. Not an ideal situation, but to think we are going to find a starting quality C in the 4th is a bit of a stretch.

At this point, I think TT should just grab the BPA on their board, regardless of position, including QB.

Zumalt is another developmental player. Tall, rangy ILB, but he loves to hit and plays with a 'tude. Good straight line speed. Played both inside positions in 3-4 and some outside. Was productive...a Thompson theme in this draft. Needs to add bulk. May slide because of shoulder injury which cause him to skip the lift at Combine / Pro Day.

Jones in interesting as in inside thumper, but not knowing the nature of the drug test makes him problematic. A large percentage of this league smokes pot in-season (when they don't test for it) to take the edge off and for pain. A steroid or speed is something else entirely...you don't know what the performance will be without the performance enhancer.

As far as center goes, McCarthy has always wanted a bigger man than what he's been given...reading between the lines, a 6'4", 320ish guy who can do some run-thumping would be his preference. The Packers also prefer to use college OTs converted to the interior to get the margin of athleticism, reach and hands for the pass game...and the results are hard to argue with. Tretter fits the profile. 6'4", 307 (at the Combine) with the physique to bulk up some...perhaps we'll see a bigger man already in training camp. Tretter is also an ex-TE and ex-college OT which suggests the athleticism one would prefer.

Of the guys on the board with C experience, it looks like Gabe Ikard fits the Packer profile...while not an ex-OT, he is an ex-TE and G. 6'4" / 304. Good character guy and said to be intelligent, a leader and good with the line calls. Quick feet...best shuttle and 3-cone at the Combine. Needs to add bulk and strength...he's more a body-building project that's probably a year away.

Honestly, I don't know anything about Ikard, but he sounds good.

I mocked Jones to us in part because of what I thought was high character. He is a sideline to sideline ILB who plays even faster than he times. I think, I would take him with our 5th round pick, knowing full well that their is lots of risk involved with drugs. There was a suspension last season as well. Risky. But lots of potential there.
