my sister's boyfriend moved over here from Boston( Patriots fan:( ), and he needed a job so he's serving up beer at the first Ashes game. He thinks it's quite strange a match goes for five days.

Yes and it doesnt look good for England. Aus win by 277 runs. Pieterson out without adding to overnight 92.

Follwing rather than watching - not that much on TV, unless you buy the satellite subscription.

Things are looking up for England after the first day of the 2nd test. But I have some issues with England's team selection. [I am originally from Nottinghamshire - let the informed reader understand ;) ]

Gakk - are the other "Ashes" Rugby League?

Wow! England pluck defeat from the jaws of victory!

    SECOND TEST, ADELAIDE, DAY FIVE:
    Australia 513 & 168-4 beat England 551-6 dec & 129 by six wickets

"No team in history has lost after declaring on a higher total than England's 551-6 batting first in a Test. " BBC Sport

This sporting season is proving to be a hard one to stomach! :puke:

    LOL, my Packer-backing friends!!

[Oops - sorry vikes!! Your pic of Jimminy C... is priceless btw :rotflmao: ]

I could explain, but trust me, you probably wouldn't want to hear it - not in full anyway!

I know cricket is not a game much played in the US of A - or even in Bavaria ;) I just needed somewhere to wail and gnash my teeth! Think of how the Jets fans might have felt on Sunday if the Packers had come back from 31-0, and you will have some idea of how frustrated England cricket fans are this morning ...! :tantrum:

    What say you AADP??

    Hey Chris,

even the kids in Bavaria know, what that game is about, you know!

    [IMG]

If you don't feel good about the outcome of that game, try this and you probably will feel better

    Hey Harald :rotflmao:

    I'm feeling better already!

Is the guy with the bat qualified to play for England? He could certainly get a game!

I think they left the covers off the wicket a bit too long though!?!

    Good health! :packbeer:

Can the guy throwing the ball throw a high hard one? You know, a message of sorts?

But man, wouldn't you like to see the batter come after the pitcher with that bat? Could plant some major damage on the old noggin'.
