As part of Ted's assessment of players does he consult astrological tables or does he favor drafting players with certain astrological sun signs??

Jordy Nelson- Gemini Air Sign. Smart and Fast.

Brian Brohm- Libra Air Sign. Smart Likeable.

Patrick Lee- Aquarius Air Sign. Disciplined emotionally. Some smarts

Jermichael Finley - Aries Odd Fire sign. Fire signs like Air signs

Jeremy Thompson - Libra Air Sign Prone to low back injury

Josh Sitton - Gemini Air Sign

Breno Giacomini - Libra Air Sign

Matt Flynn - Gemini Air Sign Gemini's tend to be prone to arm injury

Brett Swain - Gemini Air Sign

Astrologicly you can see the significance of this draft and how it fits with team building. Air Signs are team players not selfish and rather intelligent.

Now does Ted like these players because they have similar characteristics or is astrology just another tool in drafting??

Heh. Too funny.
I just wrote an article on why Astrology is completely bunk.
But if that's your thing, more power to you.

Interesting how many are air signs. Huh...

Zombieslayer - what astrological principles did you seek to disprove?

Our fates are not decided by the stars. They're decided by ourselves.

And when I meet someone at a bar who says I'm like I am because I'm a ____ sign, I walk away. I'm like who I am because of free will, not someone's stupid star chart.

It makes as much sense as game critical skills as the vertical leap and hand size measurements for offensive linemen.

How about Water Signs under Thompson??

David Clowney is a Cancer, which is a Water Sign.
Clark Harris is a Cancer, a Water Sign.
Tyrone Culver is a Cancer, a Water Sign.

Cory Rodgers is a Pisces, a Water Sign.
Craig Bragg is a Pisces, Water Sign.
Johnny Jolly is a Pisces, a Water Sign.

Will Blackmon is a Scorpio, Water Sign.
Junius Coston is a Scorpio, Water sign.

Perhaps there is a reason he is now avoiding water signs??

dont we play football on the ground not in the air or in the water

I was under that impression, but apparently some people play football in the sky.

Say no to drugs, people.

Hey, Isaac Newton was brilliant and he had a fascination with the alchemical principle "As above, so below" that astrology is somewhat based on.
Then again, he wasn't a stranger to drugs either.

If you get a chance, check out Penn & Teller sharing their 2 cents on Astrology.

I have a sense of humor (as i'm sure you all know)
But alot of people take astrology seriously. They won't make a move till they read their horoscopes. To me, thats setting yourself up for things to happen. It controls alot of what they do, or don't do.
I read the horoscopes sometimes for fun, and 99% of the time you can pick something out of each of them that might fit you on any given day.
I don't take fortune telling seriously.

I'm with Zombie and RP on this. The mistakes I've made in this life have nothing to do with mis-alignment of stars...just my own stupidity. Likewise, any promotions I got, I earned. The Creator is the only entity that can influence my life.

Thats how i feel.
But people will always look for excuses for messing up.
"My horoscope told me to do this today!"
Kind of like the old Flip Wilson routine......"The DEVIL made me do it!"

The reason I'm anti-astrology is because people who are into astrology are the ones with no sense of humor. They always shove their astrology down your throat.

You're sitting there having a conversation with someone and they interrupt and tell you that you must be a ____ because of how you're acting. Or some crap like that.

Or they say some bull like "I'd never date a ____ because I'm so not into people like that."

Completely against free will, and it gets pretty annoying.
