[QUOTE="wizard 87, post: 240073, member: 1244"] McCarthy: Woodson will start at safety again Coach Mike McCarthy is scheduled to address the media shortly. OK, so it was supposed to start like 4 minutes ago. But it'll start at some point. Refresh for the latest. UPDATE: Probably the biggest headline is that Charles Woodson will start at safety for the second straight week. Atari Bigby is out; Aaron Rouse practiced today and likely will be the top backup. * First, the injury report: S Atari Bigby (shoulder, out), T Chad Clifton (knees, full), RB Ryan Grant (thumb, full) RB Brandon Jackson (quad, limited), DE Aaron Kampman (illness, limited), FB John Kuhn (knee, full), CB Pat Lee (knee, out), S Aaron Rouse (ankle, full), DE Jeremy Thompson (ankle, limited), C Scott Wells (concussion, limited), CB Charles Woodson (toe, limited), RB DeShawn Wynn (calf, limited). * On Wells: "He's coming along." Going through series of testing; he's passed the first series. "I'm still open that he'll be there for Sunday." Goal is to practice on Friday. Report was less positive on Monday than is today. Still was groggy on Monday. Did some conditioning today. * On Rouse: Thinks over the hump. "He looks like he's responded well." But will go with Charles Woodson at safety on Sunday. * On Grant's ball security: "He looked OK. We weren't in pads, so he went through the ball-security drills. ... He looked to be better than he was on Sunday." * Pulse of team: Have turned page from Sunday's loss. Addressed Carolina on Monday, then met with team after as normal routine. Extra time needed to face Houston because an uncommon opponent. * Picked a punter? Have two candidates working out down there now. Hopeful to have a decision by end of the day. * On how work out punters: Indoor and outdoor for Tuesday's candidates. Not sure would do the same today because of snow. No holding element in tryout -- Matt Flynn will be holder, Ruvell Martin and Brian Brohm will work in as well. * What safeguards in place for supplements, etc.: Part of continuing education.
