I would think that would be a textbook technique. Why doesn’t anyone use or teach it?

Agree. I’m not sure there are coaches who can begin to figure out how to teach that kind of timing, strength, proper leverage and quickness. The fact that you are using a name from more than 20 years ago shows how obtuse and obnoxious a move it was.

The man was an absolute freak of nature. The finest defensive football player in the history of the NFL, and it's not close. Incredible strength...power...technique. Unstoppable for most of his career.

It would be embarrassing when the player goes to toss the other guy, and the other guy doesn't budge.
And don't forget Reggie had God on his side, helping.

Reggie was strong no doubt, but he was a master at understanding leverage and momentum. It's those little things that make the impossible possible.
