At this point, any season could be his last chance to win another Super Bowl. Hill was a very useful part of their offense down the stretch, and they can keep him for one more year for less than 5M in cap space. In their mind, why risk losing him for a mere 1.5M in savings? Make sure you keep him for 2020 and then he can hit unrestricted free agency and the market can sort him out.</p><p></p><p>But we need to avoid this fallacy-- being worth a 1st or 2nd round <em>tender </em>is way different than being worth a 1st or 2nd round <em>pick.</em></p></blockquote><p></p>
