Taxi Squad

We have 5 RBs- Green , Davenport , Gado , Herron and Leach - couldnt we put Leach on the taxi squad ( instead of cutting him ) so we can keep him around in case of injuries ? We had our top 3 RBs go down to injury last year . How many players can you put on the taxi squad ?

8) Allowed five players on taxi squad and they have to clear selections from other teams. Best to put whomever is not ready to play on the PUP, (Physically unable to perform) unless GB is assured they'll clear. Either Green or Davenport could be candidates for the PUP.

I don't think it's called the "Taxi Squad" anymore I think it's called the Practice Squad. I also think there's restrictions as to who can be placed on it after final cutdowns based on injury status, roster status and previous tenure in the league.
