Is anyone going to Summerfest 2007.

Steely Dan is featured tonight. Wish I could make it down to the lake.

Tomorrow, I am going to see Def Leppard/Foreigner and Styx. Should be a blast from the past.

It adds up fast with those prices. I remember when Summerfest just started out. It was a big mud field down there. Now it's a top of the line place to go. I just don't like being in big crowds.
Last year I took my wife down there. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and I set it up with her favorite group Los Lonely Boys, to get backstage passes. We got to meet them, and I got their drummer Ringo's drumsticks. Their road manager gave me access right up to the stage, so i spent the entire concert taking pictures of them I have GREAT photos of the group.
They are there July 4th this year, but I don't know if we will go. It's gonna be a nuthouse down there that day.

I loved the album High N' Dry. I finally saw them live in '03, and they were pretty good. Joe Elliot doesn't strain his voice and actually takes it easy when during the chorus. I think he wants to be around 10 years from now. The other band members sing the chorus. He also doesn't scream like he did back in the day.

Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell are capable guitarrists, and as you probably already know, Rick Allen has a footswitch that kicks off different drum fills. Pretty hard playing with one arm, but I have a lot of respect for that band to continue with him instead of letting him go after the accident.

I know it's in August, but I'm not sure of the dates. I haven't gone in years.
