Excellent question, and honestly I can't even speculate. He's been a solid guy and not expressed any wishes about being somewhere else. But he's a smart guy, too, and he can add 2+2 as well as I can. I'm sure he and his agent have often discussed that topic, and since his dissatisfaction last year with how many targets he was getting really upset him, the deep receiver corps here in Green Bay must be a significant concern for him. Could be he passionately loves Green Bay, and simply wants to be the Number One guy here. But even so, he has to realize that is never going to happen here. And it just wouldn't be realistic for him (or his agent) to have a plan in mind where that does happen. He's just gotta know that it's either stay in Green Bay and mnake less money than he's worth, or pack his bags and be The Guy on some other team. So I assume he has accepted that by now, and is prepared for what that means. Because if he wasn't satisfied with how many footballs he saw last year, he's not going to be happy with how many he gets next year. I just can't imagine any way that Green Bay can afford to pay him what many other teams would be happy to pay, without blowing up the whole payroll strategy for our receiver corps. He's good, but he isn't Jerry Rice or Megatron. He has to make the same choice that countless really good players have had to make in the salary cap era; stay where he's happy but accept a lot less money, or move on to where he can get paid a lot more and have the chance to play a much bigger role on another team. 110, 120 targets a year and first read, instead of 3rd read and 70 targets. The man's a professional athlete; he's worked his whole life to not just succeed at this stage in his career, but to excel. This is his time, this is the peak of his career, and it's only going to last a few years. The time when he is ready to make his mark. I just don't see him being willing to be just one of 5 or 6 guys for less money, than 1 of 2 or maybe 3 guys for a lot more money. Nobody likes Green bay that much.
