The problems with this year was not Packer president, GM, head coach, Assistant coaches, as the"blame gamers" postings repeatly howl about on Packer forums !! . The Packer organiztion is professional and has done a fine job over the last 13 years. The record since 1993 show this 127 wins-65 losses- 20 postseason games- winning 11 losing 9 including two Super Bowls , winning one. This is best winning record of any NFL Franchise from 1993 to 2004. There are many things to consider for problems this year. Injuries to many key offensive players, loss of 4 key players to other teams because of Salary cap/free agency considerations, and drafting in the high rounds of NFL draft for over a decade. The problem with the Packer team from ouset of the season was the offensive line, loss of Wahle, Rivera due to salary cap considerations, and not quiite recovered from last years injury -Flannagan. The players that were brought in were not as effective as Wahle, Rivera and healthy Flannagan and Packers are still trying to find the right combinations in offensive line at this late date in the season. , On top of offensive problems, the Packer hired a new Defensive co-ordinator Jim Bates who installed a new defense . There has been much improvement in the defense this year but room for more improvement. Packer Rookies, 1st year players, 2 year players and 3rd year players are getting much playing time this year and this experience will help them next year. However with all these inexperience players, there are breakdowns at the most crucial times this year. With all injured players becoming healthy for next year, more experience young players coming back next year, a new crop of low round draft choices coming in will allow much improvement in Packer team. Also it is predicted there will be much more freed up salary cap money in '06 that was not available in '05. Hopefully things will turn around very quickly. Such as happen to other teams like the Chargers who finished 4-12 in '03 and 12-4 in '04 and Pittsburgh who had poor season in '03 and finished 15-1 in '04 and there are other teams who turned things around in one year!! It should be an interesting off season and '06 season for the Packer organization and Packer fans. It will not be boring!! Keep the Faith Packer fans,
