Boy.... she better be real if he's sayin' stuff like this now.

Hope the best for him I just think it’s presumptuous how we plan like everything in life if just going to work out Hunky Dory. I thank God for waking up each day much less making plans to chance Diapers in 3-5 years.

If you missed it yesterday, worth a listen. Jason Wilde did a zoom with A-Rod. First one since 2020. Interesting conversation at the end, regarding the possibility of the Packers retiring #12. I am wondering who Rodgers was referring to when he said something like "there are still people in the building that wouldn't be on board with it happening....and if they were still there, he might not be onboard with doing it either." First name that popped into my head was "Gute".

The Rodgers interview starts at the 39 minute mark.

Aaron searches for grudges. I find it hard to believe that anyone in the building would be against Aaron coming back into the building to have his number retired or any of the other official team stuff that ex-players might partake in.

That doesn't mean that some parties wouldn't be engaging in tickle fights and going out for chocolate milkshakes afterwards because I don't doubt that some parties probably aren't enamored with Aaron either. But to suggest that parties would block any official capacity things? Not buying it.

I don't think he said that. I think he said he wanted it to be unanimous. Difficult to do about anything, but of course he has my vote. And I hope he goes to the super bowl this year.

Yeah I don't understand the angle here (but it did seem like Rodgers was just airing all sorts of past grievances lately, maybe he was caught on a bad day lol) but this drama all feels 100% manufactured. I mean not that long ago (maybe last year at latest) he said that he's got all these fond memories and feelings towards the team and the city and that he would be open to signing a one-day contract to retire a Packer. And the organization (at least Murphy, i don't know if anyone else has more recently) have already said that they'll absolutely bring him back to Lambeau, give a proper sending off, retire his number, and he'll probably walk right into an exhibit at the Packers HOF. I think it's all much ado about nothing

Jason asked about coming back in reference to retiring his number and things of that natures and Aaron said some in the building might not be on board with that.

Favre did not finish in GB. Brady did not finish in NE. Montana did not finish in SF. Peyton did not finish in Indy. It happens. And Rex Grossman certainly did not finish in Chicago.

And I would suggest that Favre had a MUCH more acrimonious departure than Rodgers. He still came back and got his #4 retired. time heals all wounds and whatnot

He gets into these interviews and has to answer the imho inane questions.

Yes. Make no bones about it I enjoyed watching Favre play, particularly when Holmgren was here to keep him leashed and focused. If I had to make a choice between the two as a "favorite", I'd have to take Rodgers if for no other reason, I saw him as a more cerebral QB ... the guy I wanted to have holding the ball with 3 minutes left. I've always maintained that I loved #12. Aaron Rodgers as a person (from what we see on TV) ... not so much but #12 compared to #4, in their "primes", I'd take #12 with no hesitation - with the benefit of hindsight of course.

When #12 first took over for the multi-retired #4, I wasn't so sure even though #4 ground my beans. My son on the other hand ... put #12 in the Hall of Fame like, immediately. Anyway, Rodgers "the man", seems to be less arrogant in his delivery these days, but then again, I didn't LOOK for words or sentences to parse during this interview.

I prefer Rodgers to Favre as well. Favre had too much “playground” in him. I think he could read a defense well, but he always had and always will a southern charm about him.

Rodgers is arguably among the top 5 QBs in NFL history. A very smart guy who could transfer his intellect to playing football. Everything else aside, he was a lot of fun to watch.

Olg greybeard is taking a beating in Cleveland tonight. It makes me wonder if he'll last til the end of the season...
He holds onto the ball way too long. Thry need more short 5 yard passes he’s trying to get 15 yard chunks. He doesn’t have much talent to separate either. Jordy used to get that back shoulder. Where’s the TE or RB for a quick 5 yards.

The Steelers look worse than us on Offense. Meanwhile Cleveland gets 9 yards on the very next play.

He is slower than in his heyday. Gets the ball out later although he knows where he should go with. Knows the rush is coming but he cannot step out of it like long ago.

A sure sign he is out of gas are the INTs. Seems like he has thrown an INT every week, last night it was 2.

I hope he has a respectable last season. Like him or not, there's no denying the HOF career he's had with the Packers.

I too hope his last season is respectable. Too often players like him don't know when to quit. It must be difficult to walk away from something you love and have been doing for moat of your life.

The first one was, I don't know what that was. But the 2nd one, he had to throw it up for grabs. No other choice.
