I just saw the "Song Sung Blue" movie that came out a few weeks ago. I thought it was a Neil Diamond movie. It's really about two Milwaukee musicians that form a Neil Diamond band, fall in love, but also about all of the horrible things that happen in their lives. It wasn't until the end that I realized that I saw them perform at the State Fair back in the 90s.
It's a really good movie starring Kate Hudson (Goldie Hawn's daughter) and Hugh Jackman. They both do all of their own signing. It is well-worth seeing, even just to hear Kate Hudson do a 'pretty darn good' Wisconsin accent.
