No. Every coach has to move away from their preferred defensive strategies to adjust for lack of personnel, either due to the base roster or injuries. We can talk about blitz or not blitz, but a DC can't make those decisions in a vacuum due to changing personnel situations before and during games. I like Lovie Smith a lot but I am not an advocate of change when you have something good. What I have seen in the NFL is that teams rarely improve when they change coaches to "upgrade." They usually do worse. The grass always seems greener on the other side but it's much more complicated than just upgrading to Smith.</blockquote>
