A guy on my local radio station posed this same question this morning.

Simply What did Brett Favre do wrong?

Simple answers only, please.

Thru management, and TT under the bus.

Put himself above the team with an unreasonable demand to wait until TC.

How did he throw management under the bus? Please elaborate

False: Brett didn't demand to wait til training camp. The Packers said they wanted a decision so he told them based on how he felt. Please provide a link to where he DEMANDED giving him til training camp

"We don't want you back, maybe in a different role, no you can't play anymore here". Threw who under the bus? TT has done a wonderful job thus far in GB, but his approach to BF could have been done a lot smoother. He's forced BF hand when all BF had said was that he wants to play again. Had TT welcomed him back to see how this played out, BF reinstating etc..., he sure would have not had this turn out the way its going. TT has positioned GB vs BF. BF just wanted to come back and play for them.

Changed his mind, correct. Brett changed his mind, he is the devil.

Haven't seen the word devil used, but I mighta missed it.

How about 'expecting everything to be handed to him' and 'throwing his friend under the bus'

just an easy 2 that came to mind...im sure theres definitely more.

went back on his word - multiple times.

said he would retire - wanted back in
worked deal to come back in March - backed out
said he would never play for another team - asked for release/trade

Brett Favre is a piece of crap because he's intentionally trying to ruin Erin Rodgers career. He's trying to get TT fired and hes trying to ruin the Packers organization and turn it into what it was in the 70's and 80's.

Oh wait, thats what is gonna happen anyway.

He goes on Natl TV and talks about how he wants to play armchair GM, talking about Moss, Mooch etc, stuff that happened years ago.

Funny how you bashed him long before those two things happened. Your point is mute anyways. You are the same person that voted A-Rod is better than Brett.

Lied to media, lied to fans, gave up on the team, and refused to give the Packers higher priority than his own fickle desires.

Whined about personnel decisions, threw campen under the bus, amd complained about the hiring of Mike McCarthy.

Tried to join the vikings, over used text messages, and over all, like stated above, made an *** out of himself.

The sad thing is that I still love the guy and consider him the best QB over the last 20 years.

What did the Packers do wrong?

They expected an answer on Favre's plans within a reasonable time prior to draft/free agency.

They shifted their 2008 plans around a new quarterback after Favre retired and backed out of a come back plan.

They exercised their right to not release Favre per the terms of their contract.

Whined about McCarthy, Huh? Told the truth about talking to Campen, how dare he

Over used text messages? What's next "used all the hot water in the locker room"? Seriously where are you getting your info?

He lied about the packers pressuring him to retire. Peter king talks about in his five minutes video bit here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=gnb

The other bits are from the early released transcript from the greta interview that they postponed for today and tomorrow. JS details the juicier bits in their blog here: http://blogs.jsonline.com/packers/archive/2008/07/15/brett-favre-part-2-and-the-aftermath.aspx

Also, grown men really shouldn't use text messages any where near as much as Brett does.

What is that? TT wanted a decision, Favre gave him one? Nothing on that video says otherwise friend

As far as the tidbits why are you commenting on them until the whole thing is released? Furthermore Brett can talk to anyone about anything. He is not a Packer right now. He wasn't doing anything other than staing what happened.

So to recap......We dislike Brett now because

A. He changed his mind
and
B. He uses text to much

He shot his mouth off because he didnt get his way, and ruined his reputation with the Packers fans including me. I am still repulsed by the way he acted, though my opinion of him could change later depending on future developments.
