Mar 15, 2019 2:34 AM - 4zone: I think FS is our plan with Amos. He's done both. Unless of course we draft a top FS this year.
Mar 15, 2019 11:39 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Yup Hundley to the Cards sounds about right. But at least you guys didn't have to subject yourself to him starting any games there SHF
Mar 15, 2019 11:41 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I almost would have taken Flacco to backup Rodgers though although we probably don't have enough cap for that

Mar 16, 2019 4:37 PM - SeahawkFan80: After hearing yall talk about him here...Hundley kinda made me nervy.
Mar 16, 2019 4:44 PM - 4zone: It looks like ILB is becoming our top need in the upcoming draft, with Ryan to the Jags.

Mar 17, 2019 at 5:42 PM - 4zone: Badgers got screwed by the NCAA committee by sending them to the furthest location from WI against a lower seeded team basically playing in their home conference.

Mar 18, 2019 8:04 AM - 4zone: There they go - Cobb heading down to Cowboys to interview. Wonder where Mathews is heading for his interview?
Mar 18, 2019 11:22 AM - 4zone: Breeland gone to the Chiefs.
Mar 18, 2019 1:44 PM - gatorpack: That one hurts
Mar 18, 2019 1:50 PM - 4zone: yea it did. We now have basically two proven CBs and one clepto wannabe
Mar 18, 2019 5:39 PM - 4zone: Looks like our FA signs are over. Silverstone reporting Pack now only $5 mil under the cap. Unless someone has yet to be cut.
Mar 18, 2019 7:12 PM - SeahawkFan80: I see Jordy is coming to visit. Hmmm....

Mar 19, 2019 9:18 AM - 4zone: Not a bad place to land
Mar 19, 2019 12:21 PM - SeahawkFan80: He will probably end up at next years SB champions team.
Mar 19, 2019 12:53 PM - gatorpack: So you saying he is coming home???
Mar 19, 2019 5:20 PM - 4zone: Cobb heading to the Cowgirls. Sad sad day. Was a pleasure enjoying his time in Green Bay. All the best, but only until we face off in the playoffs.
Mar 19, 2019 5:30 PM - SeahawkFan80: I was actually thinking the other team up there....just a few hundred miles east.
Mar 19, 2019 5:32 PM - SeahawkFan80: hmm...make it a thousand miles.
Mar 19, 2019 6:08 PM - LambeauLombardi: What's up with the website? My posts aren't showing up and the Clay Matthews thread some guy created isn't on the Normal Thread section

Mar 20, 2019 1:58 AM - 4zone: Matthews goes to Hollywood. I mean LA. Gonna be a real different team this year. Can't believe we kept Graham though. Add ILB to our positions of need list.
Mar 20, 2019 5:26 AM - SeahawkFan80: How are yall gonna survive without Hollywood Mathewz. Since he is a star now..need to change the spelling to make is more distinct. LOL
Mar 20, 2019 5:28 AM - SeahawkFan80: He does have the blonde hair wave down....so he should fit right in.
Mar 20, 2019 6:20 AM - 4zone: SF80, you got it all wrong, Cobb has the Star, Matthews has some curly psychodelic spiral.
Mar 20, 2019 6:42 AM - SeahawkFan80: So Mathewz is the Valley guy. Got it.
Mar 20, 2019 9:33 AM - longtimefan: U pay Graham almost the exact amount if u cut him or play him..u keep him
Mar 20, 2019 10:24 AM - aristotle: anyone getting worried about missing the playoffs again? Small gains and big losses is what I see
Mar 20, 2019 11:39 AM - gatorpack: Lol...that's a joke or at least I hope
Mar 20, 2019 2:01 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Gotta get a big heavy offensive draft now
Mar 20, 2019 2:10 PM - 4zone: PfC, was thinking the same thing. Did a 3 rd mock on fanspeak and came away with Burns, Hockenson, Campbell and Singletary. We could use the rest of the picks on thick bodies and depth. Man that would be a smokin uptick.

Mar 22, 2019 at 9:04 AM - 4zone: Morgan Burnett will be a FA in a week. Wonder if we could get him back on the cheap.
Mar 22, 2019 at 3:45 PM - 4zone: Badgerss got took behind the wood shed. A totally overrated team this year. I think they got set up by the NCAA Selection Committe. Oregon way better than a 12 seed. And got to play in their back yard.

Mar 23, 2019 at 1:45 PM - lambeaulambo: small gain and big losses? 3.5 sacks for spraybottle, cobb is slowing down, the big gain will come at safety due to anyone with any field awareness is a huge upgrade. nick perry is no loss, none. hard no on burnett ..gotta look dline and olb, guard and te and a back up qb draft day

Mar 27, 2019 1:26 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: RT as well, Bulaga has been injured too much and we don't need constant pressure coming on that side of AR

Mar 28, 2019 3:53 AM - 4zone: What Themes do you all suggest we go for in the Draft with our first three picks (not in any particular order)? 1) AR Protection (OT, G, Hockenson), 2) Elite Defense (ILB, S, DL) or 3) Weaponize (Hockenson, WR, RB)????
Mar 28, 2019 6:36 PM - gonzozab: Jordan Howard traded to the Eagles for a conditional 2020 pick

Apr 4, 2019 at 3:01 PM - 4zone: The be some serious stank comming out about Rodgers and McCarthy from multiple sources. Tyler Dunne from Bleacher Report wrote an article that pretty much says what we all suspected but far worse. Its gonna get interesting around here the next few years.

Apr 5, 2019 9:04 AM - 4zone: Wow, every beat writer, dope and hack are jumping on the bash AR bandwagon. At such a low ebb in the NFL cycles, this has the looks of a 1 Mil. Acre brush inferno.

Apr 7, 2019 3:22 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I'd combine protection with weapons. OL getting fixed is a must, but so is adding speed on the field
Apr 7, 2019 3:34 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: As to the Rodgers and McCarthy stuff they're writing now, well, that's old news and shows they really have no stories to write on much right now
Apr 7, 2019 3:36 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: And I don't mind if we get put down, I mean I feel like after last year showed too much apathy and taking success for granted by our players I think they need a reminder that respect is earned and not given
Apr 7, 2019 4:06 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Well ok actually I read that bleacher report article, and while I suspect there is some truth to it, it has a lot of opinion, fallacious points and ... I'd go so far as to say even libel to some degree
Apr 7, 2019 4:06 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Sounds like some other ex packers agree with me

Apr 15, 2019 11:19 AM - 4zone: Do we draft a QB at #12? I put it to you. When is the next time we will draft this high without giving away serious draft capital to trade up, probably 10 to 15+ spots. AR is 35 and has an injury history. This year we have solid draft capital and time to develop a QB without rushing him into the cannon fodder. Should be able to get a top 3 guy at #12 unless mulitiple teams jump us for a QB.
Apr 15, 2019 11:21 AM - 4zone: And if they jump us, then all is well there too, there would be fewer impact players at other positions taken ahead of us leaving us a good pool to chose from. Either way, a savy move to meet with some top QB prospects by Gute. Let the mind games begin . . . or is it for real . . .
Apr 15, 2019 11:58 AM - OldSchool101: We know AR is our QB for at least 3 more years until a potential out and he’s under contract for 5 years.
Apr 15, 2019 12:02 PM - OldSchool101: We’re in for 3 more years before our first potential out with a 11M+ dead cap. The injuries all all different so that likely could happen (and does) to any QB
Apr 15, 2019 12:05 PM - OldSchool101: It’s always good to draft a QB prospect as cheap insurance. But there’s also other options at QB as in trades etc.. I think we’re 2-3 years away from seriously looking to draft his replacement. Earlier like you said of the injuries pile up. Later if he say.. takes us to a Divisional playoff game etc..
Apr 15, 2019 1:51 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: 10 more days and we must snag Campbell
Apr 15, 2019 1:51 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: No falling for the TE trap, there are no Rob Gronkowskis in this draft

Apr 16, 2019 at 2:50 AM - 4zone: if we improve over the next 3-4 years as anticipated, we can expect 1st Rnd picks in the upper 20s and 30s each year, not exactly franchise QB range. To move up in the draft to get ARs eventual replacement could kill future drafts for years to come. Why not pick him now so he can learn for 3 years, then trade AR for his last couple years for a couple high draft picks.
Apr 16, 2019 at 2:53 AM - 4zone: Then again, if we suck bad enough to be picking near #12 the next few years, we will have a new coach, a new GM and we can trade several 1st round picks for a new QB too.

Apr 17, 2019 9:14 AM - pacmaniac: Now I see the 2011 Packers in the news, mentioned along with the Tampa Bay Lightning as one of the best sports teams ever to not win a playoff game.
Apr 17, 2019 1:35 PM - OldSchool101: I just don’t see all the desire to trade away arguably one of the top QBs to ever play the game. I guess it’s out of frustration? It’s not Aaron Rodgers fault he’s had crappy defenses. He’s not responsible for the ineptitude of our past DC and GM
Apr 17, 2019 1:38 PM - OldSchool101: Of you get a minute. Please look at the defensive ratings of each NE SuperBowl team during Brady’s tenure. Then take it one step further and ask yourself the honest question. Would the GBP have been substantially more successful under the Aaron Rodgers tenure?
Apr 17, 2019 1:39 PM - OldSchool101: Aaron Rodgers has never been the problem. If it wasn’t for him this franchise would’ve been back in Lynn ****ey days at best. I can appreciate the frustration but AR is One of the few things that’s went “right” in the last 10 y
Apr 17, 2019 1:42 PM - OldSchool101: Now let’s get this D back in the top 50% of the league for once in this decade and give AR a couple of 1st and 2nd day picks once in his career

Apr 19, 2019 at 3:51 AM - 4zone: Its not an anti AR thing OS. Its a matter of business. At some point AR is going to digress in skills. Most of the time, players have a hard time accepting that. They've been playing the game their whole lives most of the time. At some point the Packers have to replace him. If he, like in most cases, isn't ready to go, then he has to be shown the door.
Apr 19, 2019 at 3:53 AM - 4zone: By the way, AR has his own faults, just like Brett did. They all do.
Apr 19, 2019 at 10:55 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: It's a number of things, and btw I'm 100℅ against trading Rodgers, even if his contract is gargantuan
Apr 19, 2019 at 10:58 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: What people don't understand is when he has a knee injury along with a crumbled OL which needs Bulaga to retire, Cobb going AWOL and Allison missing most of the season leaving Davante with a crop of rookies
Apr 19, 2019 at 10:59 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Things are going to be like that
Apr 19, 2019 at 11:01 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Now I will say I had plenty of frustrations in the series where Rodgers would take sacks or try to throw it deep too often, but I really think if we can get this short or intermediate passing game working again like it's supposed to, people will quit the dumb trade talks
Apr 19, 2019 at 11:02 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: We also need to tell Gute to stop oversaturating this roster with TEs and go for the speedster WRs
Apr 19, 2019 at 2:52 PM - Favre>Rodgers259: Carolina I expected better from you

Apr 20, 2019 1:12 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Sometimes the HC gets it wrong though and goes too conservative like Sean McVay. If Rodgers had been his QB in the SB he might have actually saved his butt by changing the play and getting more deep balls out there cuz McVay called ZERO in that game and was ultra conservative
Apr 20, 2019 2:48 PM - SeahawkFan80: I thought there were no such things as Dumb trade talks....SMARTA## trade talks yes, not dumb ones. Dunno if I am gonna even watch a game this year. Just not feeling great.
Apr 20, 2019 5:15 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Why? Cuz of Wilson's new contract?
Apr 20, 2019 5:17 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I'll be watching, but this year for the first time in 12 years no fantasy football
Apr 20, 2019 5:19 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I mean, sure maybe I'll miss out on a good year this year by doing that, but until I see this offense get back to being a force count me out

Apr 22, 2019 1:53 PM - Favre>Rodgers259: The Draft I mean
Apr 22, 2019 4:02 PM - SeahawkFan80: PFIC, I have gotten tired. Even the joy of chatting with some people does not excite me. May as well be fishing or doing nothing. Maybe watch a movie again for the 30 th time. So far this year, things are not going in the right direction. Maybe some day. Have fun. Not sure if I will be around on Thursday or not.
Apr 22, 2019 6:53 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: F>R I shall be here, meantime, Brewers and Cardinals are in a good one
Apr 22, 2019 7:00 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: As to SHF80's point, well I can see how some would think that. Football I'd say goes through some good and bad cycles, and I agree that that Superbowl was probably the worst ever in NFL history so yeah I can see how that would leave a bad taste in a few people's mouths. I think the reason maybe I'm just not ready to give up on the NFL just yet is because of Rodgers and wanting to see him make
Apr 22, 2019 7:01 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Cowherd look stupid by winning one more SB. But once he retires, getting up every Sunday to watch Packer football very well might seem like going to the dentist lol

Apr 23, 2019 at 11:28 AM - OldSchool101: all AR needs is a top 10-12 Defense. Then it’s just a matter of time before he’s in the big game. His worst season is many QBs best.
Apr 23, 2019 at 11:29 AM - OldSchool101: @F>R I’ll be checking in here making you guys are behaving

Apr 23, 2019 at 2:34 PM - 4zone: Hey, SF80, for the first time I have no urgent feeling the Pack needs to draft this guy or that guy. I'm just plain curious as to how Gute plays this thing out. So far, he's been anything but boring. . .
Apr 23, 2019 at 2:44 PM - OldSchool101: 4Zone. I just said the said essentially the same thing in another thread.one thing I appreciate about Gute is so far his MO is swing hard and ask questions later. Should be a fun draft with all this capital.
Apr 23, 2019 at 2:54 PM - SeahawkFan80: By not going in the right direction, I am talking about my own little piece of the world. The dentist would be an improvement. I am sure things will change but it will take a while now. I am sure there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Seeing what happens to your team with the changeout of some personnel will make it interesting.
