Aug 23, 2015 at 12:24 PM - dbain21: @Zeck180 being from chicago i'm seeing that as well..classless (as expected) and funny seeing as how their number 1 pick (WR, white) is out for the year
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:25 PM - Sunshine885500: One thing for sure is the NFL needs to get rid of the "If a person is placed on IR hey are done for the year" Many players can come back later in the season but because they are on IR they can't"
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:26 PM - Green and Gold: I think Janis just got really damn lucky.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:26 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: i never seen him touch it so..
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:27 PM - adambr2: Janis won't be the odd man out now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:28 PM - adambr2: Especially if he can make special teams plays like that.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:29 PM - Jordyruns: Abby going to need to come back now
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:29 PM - desertdog55: Abby is made of glass
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:29 PM - The program 61: sunshine they do have that
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:30 PM - adambr2: Doubt this changes anything for Abby. Doesn't matter who gets hurt in front of you if you can't get healthy enough to get out on the field yourself.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:30 PM - Carl: One player can come back from IR now
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:31 PM - Narveson: Picked
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:31 PM - adambr2: Yep. And if it's an ACL, he's not going to be ready by January anyway. Especially at his position.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:31 PM - gonzozab: Can anybody on this defense catch a ball? Other than Randall?
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:31 PM - The program 61: they confirmed it
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:32 PM - Narveson: Jordy Nelson's ACL injury has not been confirmed. They would need to do an MRI to confirm it.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:33 PM - Green and Gold: Jordy, Lang, Randall, all injured, and apparently Rodgers has a wrap on. :( Hate this game.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:33 PM - dbain21: Just saying...jordy didn't really do anything in the playoffs last year and his missed catch in the game at buffalo arguably prevented us from having home field throughout the playoffs. For those of you who like to look at the brightside of things
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:33 PM - desertdog55: besides the season is not over
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:33 PM - Narveson: Damarious Randall back in the game for #Packers.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:34 PM - The program 61: im watching the game online it said it at the bottom
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:34 PM - Carl: He was also vs. Sherman in Seattle, who shuts everyone down
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:34 PM - adambr2: Preseason football sucks. Ugh. Too many injuries.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:35 PM - adambr2: Running into the kicker, great
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:35 PM - desertdog55: One thing I know....Hundley is not very good..but bad O line play not helping
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:35 PM - adambr2: Oh give me a break. That's not roughing
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:36 PM - adambr2: I've seen much worse called runninginto
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:36 PM - Green and Gold: Randall and Gunter have been bright spots on an otherwise abhorrent day.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:36 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think injuries are opportunities. Jordy was really beat down last year. Time for some new blood to step up. It will change how the defense plays the pack and who they double team.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:36 PM - gonzozab: Have you ever known a report of an ACL tear to not be true?
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Narveson: "initial Diagnosis" is a lot different than "confirmed"
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Carl: But initial testing for an ACL is very good.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Carl: Not likely that it is not torn
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - dbain21: I'm sure its happened before.. but I'd like to not get my hopes up, personally
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - 7thFloorRA: They have a pretty simple manual test that tells you if its there or not

Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Cheesehead625: Can we stop arguing about it lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - gonzozab: It's an ACL. Just wishful thinking on your part.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Cheesehead625: it doesn't help the situation at all
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:38 PM - 7thFloorRA: I dont think they get too many false positives on that test. Sometimes when you blow up the rest of your knee you guard and they can't get the positive test
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:38 PM - The program 61: lets not put all our marbles on jordy and offense if our defense can do half its job it supposed to do we will be fine
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:38 PM - desertdog55: SOme people are not happy unless they are looking at the worst situation possible.....lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:39 PM - dbain21: crazy that before twitter we wouldn't have known till tomorrow or at least after the game
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:39 PM - Narveson: That's the point. The docs take your knee and start flexing it in different positions. If the knee does certain things, the doc can tell what kind of injury it is without the MRI. That is exactly what happened to Nelson. If the doc is saying he tore his ACL, then he tore his ACL.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:39 PM - Carl: Very unlikely to get false positives on it
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:40 PM - Carl: Actually, they bend it and pull on the tibia, if the tibia moves forward, ACL is not intact
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:40 PM - Jerellh528:
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: Exactly^^
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: At least this means it was probably a clean tear, early in the year and he should make a full recovery and have no lingering issues like you get when you blow the whole thing up.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:40 PM - Narveson: ........And there it is Carl.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:41 PM - dbain21: All this talk of things moving or not is making me feel
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:41 PM - weeds: jermichael finley tweet. with nelson out, lets see how good aaron rodgers really is...
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:41 PM - The program 61: **** him
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:41 PM - The program 61: shows how good he really was without finley
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:42 PM - dbain21: lol well when Finley went out for the year we won SB 45 without him...
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:42 PM - desertdog55: What the hell is Finley doing now.........thought so.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:43 PM - desertdog55: Hundley is :poop:
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:43 PM - Carl: To be fair, Finley isn't doing anything due to his neck injury
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:44 PM - adambr2: If that wasn't an illegal block in the back, I don't know what is
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:44 PM - desertdog55: How many balls did Finley drop?
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:44 PM - dbain21: yes and to be fair I don't even think he necessarily meant to diss rodgers or anything
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:46 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: I can't wait to come back to Lambeau in 2017 season!!! God I love Gb :) such nice ppl there welcoming us canadians, I love how you guys say "Yep" to like thank you, or a question, I wana start that in Canada hahah
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:47 PM - desertdog55: We will be fine. Jordy is a good receiver, but I have a feeling guys will step up and take the opportunity.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:47 PM - ls1bob: Well, I know it is a short window of work but Montgomery has looked good
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:47 PM - ls1bob: We will be just fine
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:47 PM - Green and Gold: Datone limped off earlier on that punt couldn't tell if he was injured for sure.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:48 PM - desertdog55: As usual the Bears win two preseason games and we lose Jordy. and they are all giddy, just like they have won the SB....LMAO
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:48 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Hopefully the Packers can get through the rest of this preseason without serious injuries
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:48 PM - dbain21: Yep its awful news...and all the "experts" will say its a huge blow and Seattle will be crowned the SB in august, but they play the game for a reason
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:49 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: Minni fans were mad at me wearing GBPackers stuff last weekend. This viking fan told me I should be a Vikings fan because im from Winnipeg CANADA, lmao. We are 8 hours away from Minne so it makes sense. He told me how I and my BF are only packers fans in Canada. I was like Buddy, Winnipeg voted GBP the #1 team in our city. Then he wasnt done told me how Peterson will be way better then lacy
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:49 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: because he was out for a year...and Lacy already ran 13000 yards

Aug 23, 2015 at 12:50 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: last year. So he told me how Vikings will be better and bla bla, I said we got MVP. He says Rodgers was not MVP. I told him CONVO ends now...Just an idiot.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:50 PM - Wpg-GBP#1Fan: 1300**
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:51 PM - desertdog55: Besides, Cutler will beat out Hundley for 3rd string QB anyway.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:52 PM - Green and Gold: Rollins makes great plays every once in a while but gets lost afterwards.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:52 PM - adambr2: If there are any Bear fans reading this and are indeed giddy about Nelson, you won't finish ahead of us in the division if we go into the season with Myles White and Larry Pinkard as our starting receivers, sorry to inform you.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:53 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Rollins just needs experience
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:54 PM - The program 61: acls dont just tear because of awkard turns right? if the acl tears it could of been a waiting game till it happens right? thats why no contact is needed
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:54 PM - dbain21: I like Rajan(?) neal so far..his return on the kickoff was more impressive than Ty Montgomery's returns. And we may need Montgomery as a receiver now
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:56 PM - Carl: Mostly awkward turns, but the ACL is so small compared to some of these huge athletes, even a small twist in the right way can tear it.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:56 PM - dbain21: Everytime I see a tweet from Jason Wilde or packers its someone going to locker room or being carted off
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:56 PM - Narveson: ACL's can tear with just about anything. Jumping, twisting and changing directionare the top reasons for an ACL tear.
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:57 PM - The program 61: but if its gonna tear its gonna tear like if jordy never made that jump catch today it oculd of been next week because the acl was ready to tear?
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:58 PM - adambr2: I'm getting a little tired of teams starting near midfield because of Masthay's shanks
Aug 23, 2015 at 12:59 PM - Carl: Hard to say without knowing what Jordy's knee was like before the injury, but some people do have weaker ACL's than others.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM - dbain21: Masthay has had a bad game
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM - ls1bob: We do need a punter
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM - Narveson: ACL's aren't "ready to tear". If they get enough force, they'll tear.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:01 PM - Carl: Could have been more lax than normal.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:02 PM - ls1bob: DB just needed to turn around
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:03 PM - adambr2: I thought Glover-Wright would be who Gunter has been this preseason. I've been disappointed.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:04 PM - Eli Haugen: haha and randall looked like 1st rounders today! elliot looked great again. so yheres that..... this siucks.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:05 PM - dbain21: Our secondary will be best in league in 2 years if Randall and Rollins develop properly
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:06 PM - dbain21: you heard it here first
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:06 PM - ls1bob: Who do you guys think will be the young receiver that will step up in Jordy's absence?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:06 PM - weeds: It has been a pretty depressing afternoon. this game doesn't mean squat, but ya gotta feel for Jordy
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:06 PM - dbain21: #88
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:07 PM - ls1bob: I do fell for Jordy. Like Cobb, a great guy
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:07 PM - weeds: Adams will end up being a bonafide star and Montgomery will be this year's version of Adams
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:08 PM - adambr2: Not that this game matters, but we've got to cut down on all the pre-snap timeouts. If this game mattered, we're down 5 and have no way of stopping the clock the rest of the way because of all the pre-snap timeouts.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:08 PM - Narveson: Packers are officially not the favorites to win the SB according to Vegas. Lines moved from 5-1 to 9-1 with Nelsons injury
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:08 PM - adambr2: Literally the one thing not to do there Blanchard
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:09 PM - weeds: wow...this game was really harsh...sheesh...it was painful
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:09 PM - desertdog55: who care who are the favorites, I would rather not be
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:09 PM - Cheesehead625: That was probably one of the worst play calls for a 4th and inches
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - Rodgers in the House: Our offense will still be the most potent in the league

Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - Vrill: is it official? Torn ACL? MRI results back?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - adambr2: There's not going to be an MRI today
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - Rodgers in the House: I think Abby is going to shine
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - dbain21: Things like vegas odds are the stuff we have to filter out...the media will also act like the packers are doomed now, and it just isn't true.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:10 PM - weeds: i would rather not be the favorites as well
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Eli Haugen: i was thinking with adams, and montgomery both looking like young stars.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - ls1bob: me too weeds
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Vrill: until its "official", its all speculation.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Eli Haugen: this year/\
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - desertdog55: You would think our season is over.....I am still optimistic.......:)
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Rodgers in the House: agreed. They win when nobody is looking
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Rodgers in the House: Packers need to be off the spotlight.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:11 PM - Carl: Not speculation when ACL tests are super good.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:12 PM - ls1bob: I like that Montgomery has that chip on his shoulder. He says he got his bad rap of drops from ONE game he says. He looks good so far to me to be a rookie
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:12 PM - desertdog55: Our third team guys do suck though....lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:12 PM - Vrill: No, but ive seen plenty of cases where MRI said something different than what the initial "tests" say. So I'm waiting for official word before I say Jordy has a torn ACL and done for the year.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - Zartan: Talk about Sloppy Seconds
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - adambr2: As others have pointed out, medical examination of an torn ACL is basically 99.99% accurate. There's no point into clinging to definitions
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - weeds: DD...they really do
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - Carl: The official number for the best ACL test is 97%.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - dbain21: everyones third team guys suck. Look at last week our third team outplayed the pats. gotta expect inconsistency with non-starters
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - Zartan: These 3rd String guys are just crap
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - adambr2: Can you give an example of when someone had a torn ACL based on initial medical examinations and turned out not to?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:13 PM - Rodgers in the House: well if it's a + anterior drawer test then it's pretty much done
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:14 PM - dbain21: Thank god they're taking knees...NO MORE INJURIES
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:14 PM - Rodgers in the House: why is every non Packer fan celebrating a preseason win?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:14 PM - The program 61: till next week
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:15 PM - Narveson: Looking at the video of Nelson's injury, it wasn't the jump and landing that did it, it was that twisting trying to turn around after landing that did it.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:15 PM - The program 61: when we lose 3 of our starting lineman james starks shields and bj raji
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:15 PM - adambr2: Not that Rasco was ever going to make this roster anyway, but way to ensure that you put some tape out there in your few snaps of you being undisciplined.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:15 PM - Vrill: I don't play armchair doctor like some do, so I'm just waiting until I hear official word. If hes done, hes done. But nothing is official until its official.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:16 PM - Rodgers in the House: So Cobb, Davante, Janis, Abby, Montgomery. What is all this Reggie Wayne talk?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:16 PM - Wildcatk23: How many players was injured ?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:16 PM - adambr2: I don't think anyone is playing armchair doctor. That's what everyone was doing before we heard any reports. Now we're just reiterating what is being reported from medical exams.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:18 PM - desertdog55: I like Jordy...and yes it is a big loss, but I think Rodgers makes Jordy better. If Jordy plays with a team with a mediocre QB, Jordy is also mediocre.

Aug 23, 2015 at 1:18 PM - adambr2: I agree we don't need to bring in a FA receiver, but it's hard to count on Abby for anything right now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:19 PM - Vrill: Its all speculation until MM goes to the podium and says "Yep, Jordy has an ACL, done for the year" or something similar :)
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:20 PM - dbain21: Jordy nelson one of the top trends on twitter...this sucks lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:20 PM - adambr2: It's speculation that Aaron Rodgers will be our starting QB this season, but it's a pretty good bet based on the evidence we have :)
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:21 PM - desertdog55: lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:21 PM - Carl: Nobody said its official. Just that it's unlikely to not be torn.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:21 PM - Vrill: No Adam, that's what you call a "sure bet". Would you bet the house right now that Jordy has a torn ACL without knowing the MRI results?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:22 PM - Narveson: And it might be a while to actually hear confirmation. Would have to wait or swelling of the knee to do down to have an MRI.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:22 PM - desertdog55: The younger WRs will get more practice time with Aaron and the first string....
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:23 PM - Narveson: I would bet the house that Nelson has a torn ACL right now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:24 PM - Vrill: Without having the facts first? You'd lose a lot more than you'd win betting like that......lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:24 PM - Poppa San: As opposed to an MCL or PCL?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:24 PM - Green and Gold: It's a good thing Goodell and the team owners wants more preseason games. That way coaches can best evaluate talent as their starters keep getting hurt.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:24 PM - adambr2: Vrill...no one is "speculating" that Jordy has a torn ACL. They actually examined him and said, "Yep, torn ACL." You realize this, right? We didn't just watch Nelson go down on his own a few minutes ago and say "Ugh torn ACL". That would be speculation. We're wayyy passed that point now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:25 PM - ls1bob: I really like Jordy and my 2 year old has a Jordy jersey. But if he is out, first of all o hope for a full and speedy recovery and second I am looking forward to who steps up and how we win it all this year
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:25 PM - Vrill: What if its an MCL or PCL? You do realize it *could* be one of those right? Especially if his knee is swollen up really bad.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:26 PM - Kitten: That's the rub Bob!
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:26 PM - Green and Gold: Everything about the first drive other than Jordy going down was pretty fantastic. But yeah that second half.....
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:26 PM - Rodgers in the House: We're still going to the Super Bowl this year guys. NFC seriously sucks right now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:26 PM - Vrill: This wont be the first time that a player was speculated to have an ACL tear only to discover later that it was an MCL instead. I seen it happen in the NBA this past season, twice.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:27 PM - Green and Gold: Janis is the first WR off the bench.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:27 PM - ls1bob: Remember Super Bowl XLV year's motto? "Next man up"
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:28 PM - desertdog55: The other team to look out for in the NFC is in our own division...the Viqueens....they will be much improved.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:28 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Yeah I think we can still do it, we lost Grant and Finley both that year and still pulled it off
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:28 PM - adambr2: Who? Put it into numbers, there is a 97% chance that Nelson has a torn ACL based on the tests run. If you want to cross your fingers for the next 24 hours for that 3%, that's your call.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:29 PM - Vrill: *OR*...it could be a partial tear. As I said, wait for the MRI. Don't anoint him done yet.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:30 PM - Vrill: Adam, first you said 99% and now 97%...........you say put it into numbers, but you're numbers are all over the place. I'm just saying it could be an MCL, PCL or a partial tear of ACL, MCL or PCL.....some variation. Wait for the MRI.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:30 PM - Rodgers in the House: **** that **** with the Vikings. They're **** until proven otherwise.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:30 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: and with a better running game plus now the emerging Richard Rodgers, I think our O is still the beast of the NFCN
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:32 PM - Green and Gold: We have serious issues with the backup OT situation.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:32 PM - Green and Gold: Pennel has looked really solid in a number of games now.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:33 PM - adambr2: I said 97% based on the numbers that Carl gave who is clearly a lot more educated on this than you are. *If* it's a partial ACL he is still done for the season. He plays a pivoting position.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:33 PM - dbain21: Penney may have to start since the d-line will be thin first 2-3 games
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:33 PM - Green and Gold: Randall looked like a playmaker out there and the Gunter hype appears to be very justified. Our starting Corners seemed to be in good position even when they didn't make the play.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:34 PM - adambr2: How do you know it *could* be a MCL or PCL? Are you a medical expert? Did any of the medical examination reports today indicate that it *could* just be a PCL or MCL?

Aug 23, 2015 at 1:34 PM - Green and Gold: Elliott IMO he should be opposite Peppers when Clay is in the middle. Just a force as a pass rusher.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:35 PM - dbain21: Tolzien may have concussion...awesome. Is this one of the worst pre-season games (in terms of injury) in recent memory?
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:35 PM - Vrill: No, but people jump to conclusions because torn MCL's *CAN* show the same exact symptoms.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:35 PM - adambr2: Trust me, no one will be happier than me if I have to come here and eat crow tomorrow
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:36 PM - Narveson: press conference on right now
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:36 PM - Vrill: You rarely ever initially hear "Torn MCL or PCL" when these things happen. It always leaps straight to "torn ACL" until the MRI happens.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:36 PM - The program 61: adrian hubbard needs to step up he should be julius pepper .5 not 2.0 because he wont be better then peppers but if hes .5 he will be a good playerl ol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:37 PM - adambr2: And the vast majority of the time, it does end up being confirmed on MRI.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:38 PM - Vrill: and that's what im waiting for :)
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:38 PM - Carl: A torn MCL will never test as a torn ACL.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:38 PM - Narveson: McCarthy on Jordy Nelson: Until we get back to GB, won't have all info...Looking for good news tomorrow.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:39 PM - Vrill: No, but it can show similar symptoms
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:39 PM - Vrill: people injure differently.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:40 PM - Carl: Yes, but an initial diagnoses would not be bases only on symptoms, but tests as well.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:40 PM - The program 61: lets just simulate till next year lol
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:40 PM - The program 61: oh wait this isnt madden
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:41 PM - Green and Gold: Wish Janis and Mongomery showed more in the return game, with Jordy down we shouldn't have Cobb returning kicks.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:41 PM - dbain21: Forget that lol...i'll still pick packers w/o nelson in madden and real life
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:42 PM - Narveson: McCarthy says Aaron Rodgers got hit when sacked for safety. Says he could have kept playing if it was a regular-season game.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:42 PM - The program 61: i only say that because i want jordy to be part of the whole season still a ring he would get when we win SB 50 but for not being part of it all
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:43 PM - dbain21: Packers only have 3 practices left before Reg. season and 2 games left?? why? lol pre season is so dumb
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:44 PM - dbain21: ya i feel ya program 61, sucks from a team standpoint and personal standpoint for jordy
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:45 PM - Green and Gold: I'm sure if Jordy's out He'll earn that ring coaching up the young WR's.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:45 PM - Narveson: T.J. Lang & Scott Tolzien both being evaluated for concussions.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:46 PM - Green and Gold: PHI comes to Lambeau next.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:47 PM - The program 61: does anyone like the movie " the program" hence where my name cames from
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:49 PM - 7thFloorRA: I doubt Jordy's injury has anything to do with the preseason. If it was a nasty contact injury then that is one thing to be upset about but a non contact injury could have happened any day at practice or ota or workout.
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:49 PM - dbain21: Rodgers doesn't seem too happy in his presser
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:52 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I wonder if MM will roll with Brett H as the backup
Aug 23, 2015 at 1:56 PM - adambr2: No chance. Tolzien is the backup.
Aug 23, 2015 at 2:01 PM - The program 61: who are our restricted free agents that get our compensatory draft picks ?
Aug 23, 2015 at 2:12 PM - adambr2: House and Tramon
Aug 23, 2015 at 2:12 PM - dbain21: Pouncy for the Steelers will need ankle surgery...What an awful game in terms of injuries
Aug 23, 2015 at 2:13 PM - The program 61: those should be at least a 4th with how big there contracts were
Aug 23, 2015 at 2:31 PM - Kitten: Pouncy is a terrible loss for the Steelers. Indeed dbain.

Aug 23, 2015 at 2:42 PM - Narveson: "I'm not going to get into preliminary tests [and] opinions trying to beat someone to be first out there," McCarthy said after the game. "Like I said, I'm hoping and praying for good news tomorrow. That's the way I look at it based on the information I've been given."
Aug 23, 2015 at 3:12 PM - The program 61: to quote dumb and dumber " so your saying there's a chance?" for him to be ok
Aug 23, 2015 at 3:16 PM - Vrill: Always a chance. Albeit a slim one. About the only thing we can hope for, is if it turns out to be an MCL or PCL....or even a partial tear.
Aug 23, 2015 at 3:19 PM - The program 61: im over it anyway hes done stick a fork in him bring on janis but i just wanted to quote dumb and dumber cauise it fit so well
Aug 23, 2015 at 4:53 PM - desertdog55: Wow....Chris Carter stepped in it....lol http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ies-find-fall-guy-article-1.2335006?cid=bitly
Aug 23, 2015 at 5:09 PM - adambr2: Pretty key right now that Cobb didn't spurn us for Oakland. We'll see who steps up. Aaron Rodgers is going to make someone new look really good here. Remember, before he left for Minnesota, Greg Jennings was the #1 guy here, and we didn't miss a beat.
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: If Jordy is out for season, I really hope TT takes a hard long look at Reggie Wayne
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:55 PM - desertdog55: Reggie Wayne is taking a physical for the Patriots...and why would TT look at him. He is not the type of receiver we need. We have a slot receiver, we need downfield speed and good deep route runners....Reggie Wayne? Come on man!!!!!!
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:55 PM - 7thFloorRA: He is probably going to take a long hard look at Myles White. No one here panics. They just move forward. The ONLY panic type moment was when they had to go get Flynn back.
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:56 PM - desertdog55: No need to panic at all.
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:57 PM - 7thFloorRA: This is golden opportunity for Janis as he has the body and the speed to get dowfield and do serious damage. Route running and mental perfection though......just not sure those are there
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:58 PM - Green and Gold: At least we have some solid depth at WR. Still impossible to replace a guy like Jordy though.
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:58 PM - Green and Gold: It's why I feel like BPA is always the way to go in the draft unless you need a QB.
Aug 23, 2015 at 7:59 PM - Green and Gold: Injuries happen so often that the teams who end up winning divisions and championships are usually those who have the best depth.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:01 PM - Green and Gold: Adams can step up and we know Cobb can.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:01 PM - Green and Gold: WR is the one where we are best set up for a "next man up" type situation, just wish it wasn't Jordy.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:01 PM - Green and Gold: Go Pack!
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:03 PM - Green and Gold: P.S. Aaron ****ing Rodgers.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:05 PM - 7thFloorRA: This will keep the passing game from getting stale and will shake up how defenses cover. That could somehow be a blessing in disguise
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:10 PM - 7thFloorRA: I love Jordy but this will force the rest of the offense (especially the wr's) to step their games up. The sum of the parts may be better than if Jordy were carrying all the workload.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:12 PM - Green and Gold: Randall Cobb is healthy, and is not only one of the best slot receivers in the game he has shown his ability to step up and run the go route when asked.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:13 PM - Green and Gold: White Lightning Jr has shown his ability to step up and make big plays with the back ups as well as on special teams.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:14 PM - Green and Gold: Lacy so far seems to be improving his catching skills this year.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:15 PM - Green and Gold: All hope is not lost. Let's not be crushed by this.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:15 PM - Pokerbrat2000: IMO if Jordy is out for season, you have to bring in Wayne or Welker......Montgomery/Janis scare me a bit at #3 and what if Cobb or Adams goes down?
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:16 PM - 7thFloorRA: So if Cobb is doing work in the slot then he might get the double now and that is going to open the outside up. The outside has not been open for a while.....rodgers and jordy just made some sick plays in tight spots
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:17 PM - Pokerbrat2000: We aren't rebuilding, this is a SB quality team, I think it would be a big mistake to rely on a rookie or someone like Janis at #3.....heck bring Jones back if he doesn't make it with the Giants.....
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:19 PM - 7thFloorRA: Jones is probably the only guy I could see coming in if he were available. He left on good terms and was a killer at that 3 yard route Jordy would always run when you need a few yards.
Aug 23, 2015 at 8:27 PM - desertdog55: Randy Moss is hinting at playing again.....LOL

Aug 23, 2015 9:20 PM - dbain21: I don't doubt moss can still catch the ball and run routes...but is he fast enough and can he take a hit? I doubt that.
Aug 23, 2015 9:23 PM - Pokerbrat2000: IMO....Moss would be a media and team distraction that the Packers do not need. Wayne or Welker
Aug 23, 2015 9:24 PM - dbain21: I'd take James Jones if he gets cut by NYG over moss
Aug 24, 2015 2:54 AM - adambr2: I don't know what is wrong with Janis or Montgomery as a #3 on a Super Bowl quality team. .quick, who was the #3 WR on the Patriots last year?
Aug 24, 2015 5:53 AM - 7thFloorRA: I remember the welker clone and that it. excellent point.
Aug 24, 2015 7:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: This guy is a good story and fun to watch..... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...yne-continues-to-impress-as-return-specialist
Aug 24, 2015 7:43 AM - Vrill: Jones or Wayne for me.
Aug 24, 2015 7:53 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm actually more concerned about our punting game. Short, no hang time punts can cost you games. Too bad we didn't beat Cleveland to trading a conditional 2017 7th round pick for Andy Lee
Aug 24, 2015 8:00 AM - Vrill: Agreed...We need a new punter. Masthay being the holder shouldn't warrant him a roster spot for that alone........
Aug 24, 2015 8:03 AM - adambr2: I agree. Masthay's short low punts are getting old. He needs to figure it out right now. I have no interest in watching opposing offenses start from midfield after every 3 and out for us this year.
Aug 24, 2015 8:04 AM - Vltrophy: Plz forgive me. In a moment of weakness I was talked into allowing Jennings back if he was a FA. Randy Moss is looking for a team or if the NYGs cut J. Jones. One of those 2 guys
Aug 24, 2015 8:07 AM - Vltrophy: Welker has had too many concussions.
Aug 24, 2015 8:07 AM - The program 61: reports now that packers are calling wayne after MRI is done
Aug 24, 2015 8:07 AM - Vltrophy: Wayne would be nice if NE don't sign him
Aug 24, 2015 8:10 AM - The program 61: i think we need a jump ball guy and we only have that in adams so far i feel anyone else see that type of jump bal lreceivers on the team now
Aug 24, 2015 8:32 AM - desertdog55: You have to ask yourself....if these guys are that good, why aren't they on an NFL roster??
Aug 24, 2015 8:34 AM - Vrill: Age...Wayne isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore....and Welker has the head issues along with age as well.
Aug 24, 2015 8:35 AM - Vrill: HOWEVER Wayne put up good numbers last year with the Colts and Luck....
Aug 24, 2015 8:36 AM - dbain21: I think who we have is fine...it's just, if wayne doesn't sign with NE why not give him a call?
Aug 24, 2015 8:50 AM - Pokerbrat2000: this would be a one year stop gap, we aren't rebuilding here. Ask yourself this, who would you rather have on our roster; Wayne/Jones (if we can get him) or Myles White? Also put in that equation, the possibility of Cobb or Adams getting hurt.
Aug 24, 2015 9:14 AM - adambr2: I'd rather have Jones, but I don't expect Wayne to offer much of anything and we don't need another slot guy.
Aug 24, 2015 9:15 AM - adambr2: I just don't think he'll stay healthy, whereas there are not injury concerns with Jones.
Aug 24, 2015 9:17 AM - Green and Gold: Getting a vet to plug in would keep double teams off randall and lets davante flourish.
Aug 24, 2015 9:17 AM - The program 61: when we do we expect an announcement about jordy
Aug 24, 2015 9:18 AM - Green and Gold: Wayne really wouldn't learn the system and build chemistry with Rodgers for at least a few games into the regular season.
Aug 24, 2015 9:18 AM - Vrill: whereas Jones already has chemistry with Rodgers....
Aug 24, 2015 9:20 AM - Green and Gold: Cobb will be the #1 but he will probably still be in the slot. He excels on the inside where the bigger corners can't force him outside where his height becomes a detriment.
Aug 24, 2015 9:21 AM - Green and Gold: Plugging 2nd year and rookie wideouts into what is suppose to be the league most high powered offense might not be the best idea.
Aug 24, 2015 9:21 AM - Green and Gold: We'll have to wait and see.
Aug 24, 2015 9:23 AM - Green and Gold: It will be next man up.
Aug 24, 2015 9:23 AM - rodell330: Havnt been on I a while but I just heard about Jordy and I'm sick...smh dang pre season. I think James jones would be the best option period. Here's a guy who knows the system and at one pint scored what? 14 tds in a season and has made some great plays.
Aug 24, 2015 9:24 AM - adambr2: Well, we were looking at doing that anyway if Cobb had taken the highest offer. Adams is ready for this increased role...I hope. The talent and ability is sure there.
Aug 24, 2015 9:25 AM - dbain21: Rodell I felt sick yesterday as well, but that'll pass. We still got Rodgers. What makes me more sick is the thought of one of our o-lineman going down and don barclay coming in to replace someone...then a real fear of losing a-rod sets in
Aug 24, 2015 9:26 AM - adambr2: Jones I think would be a easy call if he were a free agent, problem is he's not. So it's either see if you can pry him away from the Giants with a late round pick offer or wait to see if they cut him.
Aug 24, 2015 9:28 AM - Green and Gold: So Wayne has to decide between Rodgers or Brady?

Aug 24, 2015 at 9:33 AM - dbain21: yup. 2014 MVP vs. Likes his balls soft
Aug 24, 2015 at 9:34 AM - adambr2: If either team has even offered him a job. For all we know, he might not pass his physical.
Aug 24, 2015 at 9:35 AM - dbain21: and if the packers offer him more than pennies
Aug 24, 2015 at 9:39 AM - Vrill: Honestly, I think its 50/50 that we even sign someone to replace Jordy (assuming his MRI comes back with what a lot of us are fearing it'll say)
Aug 24, 2015 at 9:49 AM - The program 61: guess theres no special treatment at the hospitals for jordy lol
Aug 24, 2015 at 9:53 AM - The program 61: packers should show the nfl there not just employees but people and get along with the next team they play in pre season and hike the ball 4x with no one tackleing anyone and we can have each team just hang out for 60 minutes
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:19 AM - dbain21: Reggie Wayne to the Pats according to espn
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:23 AM - Vrill: Yep, strike Wayne off the list :)
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: yup, take Wayne off the list.....now will Giants give up Jones, knowing the Pack may want him?
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:37 AM - desertdog55: This is the NFL...they play those games...as soon as the Pack said they were going to give Wayne a look, the Pats go ahead and sign him. Same with Jones, now that they know he might be wanted, they will either sign him, or want too much.
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:39 AM - desertdog55: I still say Davante Adams will turn into that deep threat nicely :)
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:42 AM - The program 61: i hate moss but i would like to see what he has left
Aug 24, 2015 at 10:43 AM - The program 61: make him play the whole 3rd and 4th pre season game to see if he has heart to play a meaningless game
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:17 AM - Vltrophy: Wayne signs w/NE
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:17 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Vltrophy always posting late news!

Aug 24, 2015 at 11:21 AM - Vrill: lol
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:21 AM - Vltrophy: I'll show u late when I kick your butt in our league this year
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:31 AM - The program 61: why is there no official word on jordy
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:32 AM - The program 61: is his knee to swollen yet to tell?
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:36 AM - 7thFloorRA: Don't they always do a formal presser at 3 or 4? I don't imagine anyone cares when the fans find out so they are speaking on their timeline.
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:48 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Ha! I'm going to win the league this season!
Aug 24, 2015 at 11:49 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Like 7th said, 3 or 4 would be the earliest if they even release any information today
Aug 24, 2015 at 12:06 PM - Vrill: http://gnb.247sports.com/Bolt/Jordy...idate-for-short-term-injured-reserve-38919262
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:05 PM - The program 61: that would be good news if it was a 10 week injury
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:17 PM - Dieseljunkie12: even if he were ready to come back for week 12/13 or so that would be huge as well.
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:25 PM - Vltrophy: As much as I would luv to have Jordy back rushing it could make it worse
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:26 PM - The program 61: i agree especially if other plays show up and were on a groove
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:28 PM - Dieseljunkie12: i agree completely, it is not something to mess around with at all. but if it is only a strain or a pcl it may be doable. remember these guys have access to physical therapy and doctors that we could only dream of
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:35 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Getting tired of updating the NFL news to see what JN's status is.....then I I have to see this article....arggg.. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ewater-wr-johnson-going-to-be-big-for-vikings
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:40 PM - The program 61: big let down lol i hope....
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:41 PM - The program 61: i work from home been refreshing webpage every 15 min since 12pm still no answer i driving myself crazy
Aug 24, 2015 at 1:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL....I hear you P61. I don't think many of us are expecting anything other then "out for season", but remaining hopeful is my nature :coffee:

Aug 24, 2015 at 2:21 PM - dbain21: I've felt like we're SB contenders every year since SB 45 but it felt like this offense was really gonna be special this year...but adversity creates character..just ask the SB 45 team
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:24 PM - Dieseljunkie12: all the while rodgers is getting a bigger chip on his shoulder with all of us thinking jordy made the team great and not him.
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:25 PM - Vltrophy: 16 guys on IR that year
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:26 PM - dbain21: I think everyone knows we have a chance to win it all every year with A-rod. Many people have said that. This just makes it harder
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:28 PM - dbain21: Hearing that the knee injury is "significant" I'm really more concerned that Jordy's career is in danger. He's 30, WR typically taper off around 32-34 in the NFL
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:33 PM - Green and Gold: Silver lining he will most likely be back to 100% by next season. If this happens mid/end of season there is a chance he isn't ready for next season.
Aug 24, 2015 at 2:33 PM - The program 61: trade him to oakland for a 1st rd

Aug 24, 2015 at 3:11 PM - Jdeed: Ouch looks like Nelson is done, Sorry to hear that, but we had to deal with CJ hurt last year for about 8 games it sucks.

Aug 24, 2015 at 8:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: On a bright note.....how about this Ladarius Gunter? Really like this guy!
Aug 24, 2015 at 8:55 PM - 7thFloorRA: He is a stud. I think he will be a starter alongside Shields before this season is over.

Aug 24, 2015 9:02 PM - brandon2348: Gunter was my surprise pick to make 53 man roster as posted. I think he will be a starter before long as well. He just has it. no surprise here.
Aug 24, 2015 9:06 PM - dbain21: I see Gunter making the 53. I don't see him starting over Damarious and Quinten. Not to mention Hayward, even tho he hasn't looked great so far
Aug 24, 2015 9:07 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Shields showed some potential as an UDFA....but Gunter.....something about him tells me TT struck it big here
Aug 24, 2015 9:09 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Fitting he is wearing #36 since Collins promising career was cut short
Aug 25, 2015 9:51 AM - Green and Gold: It's a foregone conclusion at this point. He has done enough to make the roster and there's not a ton of competition behind him.
Aug 25, 2015 9:55 AM - Green and Gold: This season will be harder for #87 than any packer fan.
Aug 25, 2015 10:39 AM - Pokerbrat2000: just curious, besides the $500,000 roster bonus in Jordy's contract, does anyone know what else if anything he looses in salary?
Aug 25, 2015 10:59 AM - Vltrophy: I believe an extra $37K a game
Aug 25, 2015 11:01 AM - Vltrophy: $31,250 per game. Just googled it
Aug 25, 2015 12:08 PM - Pokerbrat2000: think that is his roster bonus/game? So the rest was guaranteed?
Aug 25, 2015 12:58 PM - weeds: Sentinel is saying it's his RIGHT knee, not his left. Wow, this is really making sucking noises for Jordy
Aug 25, 2015 1:08 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Never read anything about a problem with his left knee??? He "left" the game with a right knee injury is what I had always read and heard
Aug 25, 2015 1:26 PM - The program 61: madden 16 is amazing FYI
Aug 25, 2015 1:59 PM - Raptorman: Jordy will be paid his full amount if I am not mistaken. Since they are not going to cut him. Roster bonus's are usually tied to the beginning of the NFL year. Not the 53 man roster. And being on IR he is still on the team so they have to pay him.
Aug 25, 2015 2:00 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Thanks Raptorman....kind of figured that.....feel a little less sorry for him now :coffee: *tongue partially in cheek*
Aug 25, 2015 2:06 PM - longtimefan: I am pretty sure they get workers comp... May laugh but I read a players contract once and sure it said workers comp... Even if they don't... Im sure there is a disability policy
Aug 25, 2015 2:10 PM - The program 61: sucks it hurts our cap number for this and next year its like he even wasnt injured right that doesnt change cap room
Aug 25, 2015 2:26 PM - Raptorman: IR players don't count against the cap. I think. Let me check that.
Aug 25, 2015 2:33 PM - Raptorman: Well it depends on his contract. His more than likely would.
Aug 25, 2015 2:38 PM - Pokerbrat2000: $9.7 Million cap hit if I read the numbers right
Aug 25, 2015 2:46 PM - The program 61: flushed down the drain this year lol
Aug 25, 2015 2:47 PM - Green and Gold: Cobb bleeds green and gold. After taking a reduced paycut to come back because this team has unfinished business. He's about to go off.
Aug 25, 2015 2:52 PM - Green and Gold: Have people forgot how well the packers are able to overcome injuries. I'm sure this year will be no different.
Aug 25, 2015 3:36 PM - Pokerbrat2000: as long as Rodgers,Cobb and Lacey stay healthy, I would agree.
Aug 25, 2015 3:38 PM - Pokerbrat2000: we really can't afford to loose Cobb or Adams.......no experience at WR after them and even Adams isn't that experienced
Aug 25, 2015 4:09 PM - weeds: Re: right or left knee...I must have missed the reference to the "right" knee prior. Maybe I "assumed" because he came down on his left leg...
Aug 25, 2015 5:54 PM - Vltrophy: J Fin said lets see how good Rodgers is w/o Jordy. Chip on Rodgers shoulder gets bigger & would love to shove it back in his face
Aug 25, 2015 5:55 PM - Vltrophy: More fuel on the fire. GO PACK GO!!!
Aug 25, 2015 7:05 PM - adambr2: Just to clarify Finley said later that he just worded it poorly and was basically saying we'll see now how good Rodgers is since he doesn't have Nelson.

Aug 25, 2015 11:33 PM - Green and Gold: I thought for sure Janis would be ahead of Montgomery on the depth chart, since he had the extra year to learn the offense.
Aug 25, 2015 11:33 PM - Green and Gold: Montgomery has looked great so far this pre-season, even though most of his game-time reps have come from Tolzien or Hundley.
Aug 25, 2015 11:36 PM - Green and Gold: Heal up, O-line. Go Pack Go!
Aug 26, 2015 5:31 AM - Vrill: Cowboys lose their best secondary player to an ACL..Orlando Scandrick......this has been an awful preseason/offseason for injuries.
Aug 26, 2015 6:48 AM - Poppa San: I don't have time to dig but is this preseason any worse for injuries than past years?
Aug 26, 2015 7:05 AM - Pokerbrat2000: probably not, but feels worse around here due to Jordy
Aug 26, 2015 7:06 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I just hope TT has the LT figured out for Saturday. AR may play a lot more and I really don't want to see him taking the kind of shots he and Tolzien were taking on Sunday.
Aug 26, 2015 3:20 PM - Carl: Keep in it's preseason and letting Barcly be by himself is better practice for him and better evaluation, rather than helping him out.
Aug 26, 2015 5:38 PM - Cwoodson21: It sounds like AR might play little if at all this Saturday.
Aug 26, 2015 6:30 PM - Vltrophy: Saw an article saying it's unlikely Rodgers plays in the last 2 pre games
Aug 26, 2015 6:31 PM - Vltrophy: Didn't say if at all but unlikely
Aug 26, 2015 7:07 PM - 7thFloorRA: I wonder if Jordy has taken a sip of Russell Wilson's magic potion miracle water.
Aug 26, 2015 8:27 PM - Pokerbrat2000: If the LT play is anything like it was on Sunday, I wouldn't blame McCarthy for keeping AR on the sidelines
Aug 26, 2015 8:29 PM - Pokerbrat2000: but I do think its important for him to get some work (game) in with Adams, Janis, Montgomery and White

Aug 27, 2015 4:02 AM - adambr2: I'd like to see him get some game reps in with them too, but keep in mind he's working behind basically a 2nd team offensive line against the Eagles first team D. It could be ugly.
Aug 27, 2015 4:03 AM - adambr2: I think even the most optimistic of us will admit that without Rodgers, we have no chance.
Aug 27, 2015 5:39 AM - Vrill: Without Rodgers, we are maybe a 4-5 win team lol
Aug 27, 2015 5:53 AM - adambr2: It depends on how far along Tolzien has come I suppose and how much of a difference our new look secondary makes this year I suppose. If Tolzien has really developed I could see 8-8. If he looked like 2 years probably yeah 4 or 5.
Aug 27, 2015 5:53 AM - adambr2: Would certainly rather leave these questions unanswered haha
Aug 27, 2015 5:59 AM - Vrill: We'd have to become a ground and pound team with Lacy.
Aug 27, 2015 6:05 AM - adambr2: Works out fine for the Seahawks but they obviously have a much better D.
Aug 27, 2015 6:46 AM - easyk83: It seems like it usually takes AR until the 3rd game to put things together, if he doesnt play much in the remaining two games I'm not sure if I want to even watch the Packers in games 1 and 2
Aug 27, 2015 6:46 AM - easyk83: of the regular season that is
Aug 27, 2015 7:21 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: well, took a chance and decided to draft Richard Rodgers as a sleeper in one of my leagues, hoping he becomes the other Rodger's number 1 redzone target this year
Aug 27, 2015 7:41 AM - Green and Gold: Rodgers experienced a preseason-ending injury. That injury was to Jordy's ACL.
Aug 27, 2015 7:43 AM - Green and Gold: I don't mind the starters being out as a spectator, but I do think there is a benefit to the starters playing, although it's a 50/50 decision.
Aug 27, 2015 8:55 AM - The program 61: magic miracle water whats that lol
Aug 27, 2015 2:19 PM - desertdog55: Packers add James Butler at WR, an undrafted FA from ULL, some of his highlights....

Aug 27, 2015 2:30 PM - Pokerbrat2000: HArd to get too excited about an unsigned undrafted free agent in late August, but hey...go #13 show us what you got!
Aug 27, 2015 4:18 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Probably want to see if he has practice squad potential
Aug 27, 2015 6:26 PM - Voltron: late signing of an undrafted free agent could mean Packers dont want to bring a vet wr
Aug 27, 2015 6:26 PM - Voltron: m
Aug 27, 2015 7:26 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Get rid of this stupid substance abuse policy, Roger Goodell is an idiot for making it
Aug 27, 2015 7:31 PM - Carl: Yeah, let's not care if they take illegal drugs and steroids...
Aug 27, 2015 7:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: yes, they are just roll modeling for the rich and famous after all, kids don't want to be just like them

Aug 27, 2015 at 11:22 PM - Jerellh528: Get rid of substance abuse policy? Lololol
Aug 28, 2015 at 9:24 AM - Green and Gold: Apparently we like those Louisiana-Lafayette guys, that is three rookies from there.
Aug 28, 2015 at 9:24 AM - Green and Gold: Presumably we just need more bodies for the preseason game with so many of the fringe guys injured and not wanting to play the top guys much.
Aug 28, 2015 at 9:54 AM - desertdog55: So much for the third preseason game being a "dress rehearsal"....reports say Aaron will play very little if at all, Tolzein will not play, so we will probably see a lot of Hundley and Blanchard http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/27/it-sounds-like-aaron-rodgers-wont-play-on-saturday/
Aug 28, 2015 at 12:17 PM - Vltrophy: Goodell needs to have a book or list of how many games u get suspended for committing certain acts that go against the NFL policy. He's all over the place. Gary gets a ten game suspension & gets knocked down to 4 games for allegedly throwing his girlfriend on the couch on top of guns.
Aug 28, 2015 at 12:18 PM - Vltrophy: At the same time the players in the last CBA gave RG power to be judge jury & executioner
Aug 28, 2015 at 2:02 PM - Vrill: I don't see anywhere in that link above where it says Guion's appeal was denied. Plus that article is over a month old............
Aug 28, 2015 at 2:03 PM - Vrill: This however says it: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...ay-packers-loses-appeal-three-game-suspension
Aug 28, 2015 at 2:42 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Roger Goodell wanted to tack one more game on to the 3 because he found out Guion's tires were underinflated
Aug 28, 2015 at 3:26 PM - lambeaulambo: Goodell drove Guion's Limo just like the old NFL commish
Aug 28, 2015 at 4:23 PM - adambr2: Too bad, I thought Guion had a pretty good case to get it knocked down to 2 games with no conviction and Bell getting his reduced. I really have no idea how the appeal process works, though.
Aug 28, 2015 at 4:24 PM - adambr2: I hope there's more to it than Bell is a star and Guion isn't.
Aug 28, 2015 at 4:46 PM - JK64: The NFL is a cluster **** when it comes to discipline.
Aug 28, 2015 at 7:03 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Guessing his hard stance on Brady right now, might have influenced it a bit with Guion's
Aug 28, 2015 at 7:26 PM - yooperpackfan: Watching the Lions and the Jaguars. Jags look pretty good!
Aug 28, 2015 at 7:31 PM - yooperpackfan: Jerel Worthy playing for the Lions. He wasn't worthy of the Packers.
Aug 28, 2015 at 7:38 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Jarel Worthy and Derek Sherrod were the most underwhelming picks of the Pack in recent history. Sherrod at least had a devastating injury as an excuse.
Aug 28, 2015 at 7:39 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Not to mention the Pack traded the 59th overall pick and a fourth round selection to move up 8 spots in the draft and select Worthy at 51

Aug 28, 2015 9:20 PM - 7thFloorRA: I can't hate on TT. He makes up for his mistakes with UDFA STUDS
Aug 28, 2015 11:21 PM - Carl: I was excited when we got Worthy. Thought he could have been our 1st round pick. Didn't work out though.
Aug 29, 2015 6:13 AM - adambr2: Yeah I think the general consensus was that Worthy had big upside and was a risk worth taking. He busted. It happens.
Aug 29, 2015 8:41 AM - Poppa San: PEOPLE, at the game today come to my concession stand!
Aug 29, 2015 8:43 AM - Poppa San: Lower level section 106. outer wall. Sausages, curds, fries, and beer. "Today's Youth"
Aug 29, 2015 8:45 AM - Poppa San: Help contribute to my church youth group's trip to NO La. next summer.
Aug 29, 2015 10:14 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: See that's the problem, there is no other sport where the commish gets to be judge jury and executioner, and the substance abuse policy is a worthless rule that's just outdated garbage. We can get rid of it and Guion will be free
Aug 29, 2015 10:14 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: the league will be better if Goodell's power gets limited
Aug 29, 2015 10:14 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: he's done nothing right in any of his suspensions
Aug 29, 2015 12:12 PM - AKCheese: So G runs around with drugs $$$$ and a gun and the problem is the commish? Whoa...
Aug 29, 2015 12:46 PM - sschind: From what i understand the money was his and the gun was legal. That leaves the drugs and you know how some people feel about that.
Aug 29, 2015 1:00 PM - Green and Gold: It's hard to tell in preseason, but it does seem like the defense is a bit more confident throughout the game. Like they've got things figured out before the snap and they all know their job and just execute it.
Aug 29, 2015 1:39 PM - Pokerbrat2000: No substance abuse policy? What? So our kids role models should be able to send out the message "Look at me, you too can do drugs and make millions".
Aug 29, 2015 3:40 PM - Carl: Carolina cannot be reasoned with when it comes to Goodell.
Aug 29, 2015 4:03 PM - 7thFloorRA: Pretty sure you can do rec. drugs in the NBA and MLB or at least do them without being tested. I believe there is no policy in the NBA and in MLB you have to have gotten into some kind of trouble to get tested for drugs of abuse once you are on the 40 man roster
Aug 29, 2015 5:01 PM - Kitten: Go Pack!
Aug 29, 2015 5:09 PM - 7thFloorRA: Too many starters out there to be getting carved up like this
Aug 29, 2015 5:09 PM - desertdog55: Going to hear a lot of negative nancies today....
Aug 29, 2015 5:10 PM - Kitten: Crap.
Aug 29, 2015 5:10 PM - desertdog55: Their are a ton of starters not playing for the Pack....this game is truly meaningless....no need to get worked up over it.
Aug 29, 2015 5:11 PM - Kitten: Nice goal line stop.
Aug 29, 2015 5:11 PM - Kitten: The Eagles are playing a lot of their starters.
Aug 29, 2015 5:12 PM - 7thFloorRA: I just want to see how some of the tweener guys do. It will be a nice showcase for them.
Aug 29, 2015 5:13 PM - weeds: that was a great decisive statement by Philadelphia's special teams and offense.
Aug 29, 2015 5:14 PM - 7thFloorRA: WHats wrong with the feed!!!!!
Aug 29, 2015 5:15 PM - longtimefan: cobb hurt......................................
Aug 29, 2015 5:16 PM - 7thFloorRA: WTF!!!!!!!!! Now cobb is hurt
Aug 29, 2015 5:16 PM - longtimefan: announcers say Cobb "Apprears" to be okay
Aug 29, 2015 5:17 PM - 7thFloorRA: last thing we need is a collarbone
Aug 29, 2015 5:18 PM - Voltron: just take the starters oit
Aug 29, 2015 5:18 PM - weeds: seahawks are on cbs. wasted challenge
Aug 29, 2015 5:18 PM - Voltron: out
Aug 29, 2015 5:19 PM - weeds: cobb to locker room
Aug 29, 2015 5:20 PM - 7thFloorRA: Cobb did not look happy.

Aug 29, 2015 at 5:21 PM - 7thFloorRA: Is the D line out there playing?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:22 PM - Kitten: We all knew the Eagles offense would come out shooting.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:22 PM - desertdog55: Micah Hyde getting spanked out there
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:22 PM - weeds: Cars is on ABC
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:23 PM - thisisnate: first team D looks like total crap
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:23 PM - Shawnsta3: Meanwhile HahaCD is dominating..
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:23 PM - Shawnsta3: Eagles have started near midfield both drives
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:24 PM - Kitten: Stopped them again! I like that.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:25 PM - weeds: eagles gonna run 'er up?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:27 PM - ls1bob: I can't watch it, but is special teams that bad?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:28 PM - desertdog55: I already expected a loss in this game because we aren't playing very many of our starters on offense....but I am really really worried about the D....wow....come on guys!!!!
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:28 PM - desertdog55: and special teams.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:29 PM - adambr2: This is an absolute garbagefest...as is Hundley
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:29 PM - Kitten: Goodnight Moon.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:29 PM - 7thFloorRA: Why does Hundley look like he is pointing fingers. You threw it.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:29 PM - Narveson: pick 6
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:29 PM - weeds: yeah, there isnt much to positive about...this is going to turn into a comedy...everyone has taken the night off.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:30 PM - ls1bob: A buddy of mine in Alabama can watch it and said Cobb got hurt. Any updates?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:30 PM - desertdog55: Probably collarbone
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Voltron: no updates yet he went for x rays was last thing they said
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:31 PM - ls1bob: Geez
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:31 PM - ls1bob: Thanks guys
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Carl: Both Rodgers and Woodson when they broke theirs looked to be in a lot more pain.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:31 PM - 7thFloorRA: I don't think its a collarbone. He was shaking his arm around too much. Probably a shoulder issue or a stinger.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:32 PM - desertdog55: I dunno, I think the Eagles will be the team to beat in the NFC
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:32 PM - Carl: Based on a quarter of a preseason game?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:33 PM - Kitten: He runs! He runs!
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:34 PM - adambr2: Yeah, pre-season isn't a big deal, but I'm worried about our special teams. I hated the Zook hire when it was made and it doesn't look any better based on the pre-season so far.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:35 PM - Kitten: That is if they can stay healthy dd55. That offense is impressive they get a lot of injuries.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:36 PM - Carl: They'd also rather see how players does in certain spots on special teams right now than be really good at it.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:36 PM - ls1bob: Zook is a understudy of slocum. Can't be too good
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:37 PM - desertdog55: The Eagles have had more than one quarter of preseason. I am talking about how they have played in the preseason so far...not just this game. I am by no means panicking...but the Eagles look very impressive this year...with that offense, and their starting front seven...and our first D is out there also...:)
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:37 PM - ls1bob: Unless they are trying certain things to de if they will work or not
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:38 PM - Carl: Preseaon team results are meaningless.

Aug 29, 2015 at 5:38 PM - adambr2: Carl what practice are they getting from allowing long returns, punting short, and getting penalties that start them deep in their own territory?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - adambr2: Our first team D is just getting completely owned.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - 7thFloorRA: Barrington is getting torched by Sproles one on one....goodness
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - Kitten: They have had an impressive preseason as a whole, I'm not sure about them going the distance. We're also not going anywhere on offense in this game.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - Narveson: From Packers.com twitter page. "Randall Cobb has some kind of shoulder injury."
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - desertdog55: I agree Carl....but again this is our starting D>
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:39 PM - Carl: Not like they do those on purpose, but evaluating players now is more important.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:40 PM - desertdog55: and ST
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:40 PM - weeds: on the positive side, the Eagles are doing well.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:41 PM - Zeck180: Thank god this is only pre-season, i'd be crying right now.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:41 PM - Kitten: Did somebody say this is preseason?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:41 PM - desertdog55: Wow.....I am glad we are just evaulating.....LMAO
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:42 PM - ls1bob: We will be fine. It is always darkest before the dawn
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - longtimefan: cobb shoulder injury
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Carl: Anyone remember our starters destroying Arizona in the preseason and then losing in the playoffs?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - longtimefan: thats all they said
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - weeds: kitten, someone forgot to tell the eagles it was preseason...would someone please do so?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Carl: Destroyed twice actually, with a meaningless week 17 game.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - desertdog55: Even the seasonsed radio crew is saying "this is very disturbing about our starting D"
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:43 PM - Zeck180: since chip is a college coach he'll run the score up, so 67-3?
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:44 PM - 7thFloorRA: Now Bulaga is hurt. wow
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:44 PM - desertdog55: Next man up

Aug 29, 2015 at 5:45 PM - Zeck180: well its the normal packers pre-season every player starts dropping like flies.
Aug 29, 2015 at 5:46 PM - longtimefan: i like hundley...bulaga hurt...shocking

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:22 PM - 7thFloorRA: It sounds like a ton but if you look at what guys are making around the league at that position its in line

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:22 PM - Kitten: At least we aren't as bad as Bears fans. Once one asked if they can take a knee on defense. The Packers were killing them that day.

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:31 PM - El Guapo: Screen passes have looked sharp. Hundley is a QB in this league. There is no way we can stash him on the practice squad
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:31 PM - lambeaulambo: yeah they are keeping 3
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:31 PM - desertdog55: They need to find a place for Hundley on the 53 man roster.

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:40 PM - desertdog55: Preseason or not, 40 points in one half not good.

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:42 PM - Kitten: The other positive is if Arod was in this would be a real game.
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:42 PM - Narveson: RANDALL COBB @Packers return depends on grade of AC injury. 1: good to go Week 1 2: possible Week 1 3: unlikely Week 1, but still not IR/dfr
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:42 PM - desertdog55: Not unless Arod plays D Kitten....lol
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:43 PM - Kitten: I shall pray not.

Aug 29, 2015 at 6:44 PM - lambeaulambo: get randy moss on the phone
Aug 29, 2015 at 6:45 PM - Kitten: That's what the Eagles tend to do. They look impressive now. They looked impressive last year and didn't make the playoffs.
