Jul 24, 2015 at 6:03 AM - Vrill: Gresham is a typical Ted Thompson signing. Late in the off season and a signing in which we wont lose any comp picks. If he passes his physical, or at the very least, shows that he'll be able to play and be effective this season, we'll sign him.
Jul 24, 2015 at 6:06 AM - Bigcheese0703: Gresham would add to our TE especially with the whole Quarless incident. I like want to see RR come in and take that spot for himself though
Jul 24, 2015 at 6:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Gresham is definitely shopping himself around, Saints offered him a contract awhile back, Cardinals and Raiders in the mix
Jul 24, 2015 at 6:32 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Wouldn't be a block buster signing, but he's known to be a good blocker and unachieved potential catching the ball, health possibly being his biggest question mark.
Jul 24, 2015 at 11:53 AM - Green and Gold: Remember when we didn't have a running game? Let's never go back to the Brandon Jackson days please. Go Pack!
Jul 24, 2015 at 4:06 PM - longtimefan: Did we win a sb with jackson? I know starks
Jul 24, 2015 at 4:30 PM - Vltrophy: Cardinals supposedly signed JG
Jul 24, 2015 at 4:32 PM - Vltrophy: Yes we won a SB w/Jackson
Jul 24, 2015 at 5:56 PM - Carl: Mostly used Starks late in 2010
Jul 24, 2015 at 7:28 PM - Green and Gold: Can't sleep on Jimmy Starks.

Jul 24, 2015 at 8:36 PM - Green and Gold: Watch Bakhtiari.
Jul 24, 2015 at 8:38 PM - Green and Gold: This makes me really hopeful for him.

Jul 25, 2015 at 7:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Once upon a time wasn't it a penalty for a player from the same team to "push, shove, carry, etc" the player with the ball forward?
Jul 25, 2015 at 7:16 AM - Pokerbrat2000: don't get me wrong, love the hustle there by Quarles, Sitton and Bakhtiari :coffee:
Jul 25, 2015 at 7:37 AM - Carl: Pretty sure it still is supposed to be a penalty, but it's never enforced.
Jul 25, 2015 at 7:57 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Agreed Carl......after further review of the league rules lol
Jul 25, 2015 at 8:14 AM - Green and Gold: Blatantly illegal. :D You can't block in the back.
Jul 25, 2015 at 8:27 AM - Aaron Rodgers 12: Gresham just signed with the Cards. I just hope that Rich-Rod gets the start over Quarrels and that Backman gets a chance to show what he can do

Jul 27, 2015 4:28 PM - Green and Gold: Hope experimental treatments do better for Bart Starr than they did for Steve Jobs.
Jul 27, 2015 4:31 PM - Green and Gold: Injury talk already, before Camp even starts.
Jul 27, 2015 6:20 PM - Dan115: who is injured?
Jul 27, 2015 6:22 PM - Vltrophy: Cardinals hired first female coach in the NFL
Jul 27, 2015 6:29 PM - Vltrophy: Casey Matthews for the dikes. I mean vikes
Jul 27, 2015 6:42 PM - Vltrophy: Rodgers has a 99 rating on the new Madden. Sitting & Matthews have a high rating also. They're listing the top 5 & only a Olineman for the Ravens has a higher rating than Sitting at Gaurd
Jul 27, 2015 7:11 PM - Green and Gold: Hayward, Perry, Neal all have injury mentions.

Jul 28, 2015 6:35 AM - Poppa San: Possible throwback jersey on Nike website. Same as 1994 from WWII era.
Jul 28, 2015 8:01 AM - Green and Gold: It looked good on Favre! :roflmao:
Jul 28, 2015 8:02 AM - Green and Gold: Hopefully they include the sock stripes.
Jul 28, 2015 8:02 AM - Green and Gold: Keep making Acme Packer stuff. I like green and gold, but I like the Acme stuff, too.
Jul 28, 2015 9:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I could do without the throwbacks (throwaways) from the waste of money/resources standpoint, but hey.....the Packers are undefeated when wearing theirs.....so bring em' on!
Jul 28, 2015 10:17 AM - Poppa San: Link: http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-p.../are-these-the-packers-new-throwback-uniforms
Jul 28, 2015 11:14 AM - Poppa San: Throwbacks to be worn vs Chargers game
Jul 28, 2015 2:05 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Le'Veon Bell's suspension reduced from 3 to 2 games, this may bode well for Guion if he appeals his. Brady's suspension was upheld.
Jul 28, 2015 2:18 PM - ExpatPacker: Brady's suspension upheld. wow
Jul 28, 2015 2:20 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Destroying his phone before it could be examined looks really bad
Jul 28, 2015 2:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: agreed...people may think what he did was "no big deal" but how he handled it was an even bigger deal
Jul 28, 2015 2:25 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: He will probably play the entire season though since he will be taking the NFL to court
Jul 28, 2015 3:48 PM - Raptorman: Brady's cover up was worse than the crime. Had he just admitted it, it would have gone away in weeks instead of months. Now he looks guilty as hell. And if he takes it to court, he has no evidence to back up he story.
Jul 28, 2015 3:49 PM - The program 61: Have Brady go under Oath and lie thats jail time
Jul 28, 2015 4:31 PM - Vltrophy: He could plead the 5th. Couldn't the NFL subpoena his cell phone provider & get the texts that were sent
Jul 28, 2015 4:32 PM - Vltrophy: His lawyer can't put him on the stand if he knows Brady is going to lie
Jul 28, 2015 4:34 PM - Vltrophy: Packers need to check into this virtual reality thing since other teams are using it. Can't hurt to try
Jul 28, 2015 4:51 PM - The program 61: Hows everyone on the new madden game pretty cool improvements everyone happy?
Jul 28, 2015 5:58 PM - Narveson: Madden isn't out yet
Jul 28, 2015 5:59 PM - Carl: Madden will probably have every other int dropped just like always.
Jul 28, 2015 7:33 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I'd say what he'd say in court would be truth, it's Roger Goodell who's guilty of fabrication and creating this phony scandal
Jul 28, 2015 7:51 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: At least Hannity is getting it right on the news right now, that Goodell is just creating phony scandals out of air and continues to do so ... I can't believe this idiot continues to commish this league
Jul 28, 2015 8:03 PM - Carl: What's your evidence of him creating phony scandals?
Jul 28, 2015 8:09 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: bountygate - there was no evidence at all of the players gettin paid for illegal hits and the guy who took tapes and tampered with them was a disgruntled Saints former employee, there was no concrete evidence of any of it happening anywhere
Jul 28, 2015 8:10 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Roger Goodell made that one up and if it was actually a real thing, he wouldn't have waited 3 whole years to take action on it
Jul 28, 2015 8:12 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: deflategate is the same thing, nothing but a mess based on trainers and officials and whatever just joking around about a bunch of stuff and that Wells report is bunch of balony of a guy that doesn't even know what size those footballs were anyway
Jul 28, 2015 8:14 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: this commissioner has done nothing but a narcissist running this league
Jul 28, 2015 8:14 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: *been*

Jul 29, 2015 at 5:07 AM - greenandgold: Almost hard to believe the commish finally diod not back down on one and let Brady get away with it.
Jul 29, 2015 at 5:37 AM - yooperpackfan: Goodell loves his role as judge, jury and executioner.
Jul 29, 2015 at 1:36 PM - Narveson: The players association agreed in the new CBA that Goodell can be the judge, jury and executioner when it comes to things like this
Jul 29, 2015 at 1:51 PM - Pokerbrat2000: ...and deflate the balls of whoever he chooses to :coffee:
Jul 29, 2015 at 3:12 PM - desertdog55: IMO it wasn't much of a scandal to begin with. I think it has more to do with the coverup. Just a coincedence that he destroyed his phone the same day....lol.
Jul 29, 2015 at 3:14 PM - desertdog55: Oh, but he got the phone records to show he was cooperating....but phone records won't show what the text said, just how many texts he made, how convenient........
Jul 29, 2015 at 3:41 PM - Raptorman: What Brady and other players have not learned that in this day and age of fast information you are guilty until you prove your innocence. That is the way it works now.

Jul 29, 2015 10:22 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Nor have some players learned that the rules actually do apply to them....on and off the field. Public attention and the internet almost assure us of nothing being swept under the rug in the once good old boys club
Jul 30, 2015 7:33 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: This isn't for me about defending the Pats, it's about stopping Goodell from playing God. Get rid of those stupid substance abuse policies, put the cuffs on him and stop him from making crap up all the time just to indict whatever successful team he wants of anything, quit trying to globalize the NFL, on top of that, you don't go putting a 4-game suspension on someone for deflating a ball while
Jul 30, 2015 7:34 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: putting on a 2-game suspension for someone found guilty with video evidence like Ray Rice was
Jul 30, 2015 7:35 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I don't care what the CBA says, tear it up and burn it then and get rid of this stupid commissioner, he is a disgrace to football
Jul 30, 2015 7:55 AM - Dan115: be careful he can also ban fans from seeing or even hearing about your team for up to 7games
Jul 30, 2015 8:15 AM - Carl: Yeah, tear up the CBA. Then we can't even have an NFL game again until there's a new one....
Jul 30, 2015 8:26 AM - dbain21: What a great day..seeing the players out there for training camp makes my football sense tingle
Jul 30, 2015 9:14 AM - ExpatPacker: Hey, Walker tore up the CBA in Wisconsin and now teachers can...uh...well...uh...go to hell?
Jul 30, 2015 9:16 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I won't go there because this isn't politics, but I can't believe people back goodell up, he's been bar none the worst commissioner in pro sports history
Jul 30, 2015 9:18 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: at least his recent stabbing of Bob Kraft in the back might get the owners to throw him out
Jul 30, 2015 9:18 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I can only hope
Jul 30, 2015 10:32 AM - AmishMafia: Goodell isnt the NFL. the NFL is 32 owners who hired Goodell to be an umbrella. if Goodell is going after Kraft it's because 31 owners are fed up with the Pats and their cheating and they directed Goodell to do something about it.
Jul 30, 2015 10:34 AM - Carl: Carolina, you sure don't present evidence for your claims. Just say he makes ip
Jul 30, 2015 10:34 AM - Carl: Say he makes up scandals.
Jul 30, 2015 10:35 AM - Carl: Very extreme to say get rid of substance abuse policy and tear up the CBA
Jul 30, 2015 11:25 AM - desertdog55: I guess I just need an example of why he is such a terrible commish.....the NFL was called for not being harsh enough on offenders, and now they are being blamed for being too harsh....or making up stuff...make up our minds.
Jul 30, 2015 11:29 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: it's called counter-accusing because I don't see any incriminating evidence on Tom Brady having his footballs deflated and even if so, just because someone is aware of this doesn't make them the violator. Besides if you're gonna suspend Brady, why not suspend the rest of his offense? I mean you're tellling me it was only him who knew and not anyone else on that team? I mean this whole thing is
Jul 30, 2015 11:29 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: just all wrong
Jul 30, 2015 11:32 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: And desertdog, what you described there is exactly the point, he focuses his attention on things like deflated footballs and made up bountygate things, and doesn't even bother addressing the real violators
Jul 30, 2015 11:34 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: and I don't need to go into how bad his officials running this game have gotten, how many flags thrown in games have increased, how many illegitmate fines have been issued for legal hits under his watch
Jul 30, 2015 11:34 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I can go on and on
Jul 30, 2015 11:35 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: and as for that substance abuse policy, why is he even bothering about players using recreational non-performance enhancers? That's a dead horse right there
Jul 30, 2015 11:39 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I don't blame anyone for wanting Tagliabue back, that guy ran this league flawlessly with no controversy
Jul 30, 2015 12:04 PM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: Who are the real offenders in your eyes, Carolina? Cheating in a championship game is a pretty serious offence.
Jul 30, 2015 12:09 PM - Carl: How are you so sure bounty gate was made up?
Jul 30, 2015 12:10 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: because real scandals don't just get brought up 3 years after the fact
Jul 30, 2015 12:11 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: he saw the game that it supposedly took place in that 2009 NFCCG, if he cared he'd have said something then
Jul 30, 2015 12:12 PM - Carl: Boutygate didn't come forth by simply seeing that game. It also took place in more than that game.
Jul 30, 2015 12:12 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: and besides, I found a link if i can pull it up from a pretty credible NO source that said that whistleblower was a disgruntld former employee
Jul 30, 2015 12:15 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/...sing-questions-about-bountygate-whistleblower
Jul 30, 2015 12:18 PM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: That the bounty system was reported by someone who was pissed off at the team isn't surprising at all, nor is it an indication that the scandal was made up
Jul 30, 2015 12:21 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: this one too

Jul 30, 2015 at 12:23 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: look at all that, that there proves Goodell concocted phony evidence on that one
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:25 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/65343/jimmy-kennedy-bounty-claims-an-utter-lie
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:31 PM - Carl: What's interesting is Paul Tagliabue upheld that the Saints had a bounty also...http://keepingscore.blogs.time.com/2012/12/12/reading-between-the-lines-of-the-bountygate-ruling/
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:32 PM - Carl: Not just Goodell who said happened. “This sad chapter in the otherwise praiseworthy history of the New Orleans Saints,” Tagliabue writes, “casts no executive, coach or player in a favorable light.”
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:33 PM - Carl: Paul did overturn some suspensions, but still found evidence of it happening.
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:34 PM - Carl: All you did was post things about people denying it and claim it's proof
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:37 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I'm saying there's no smoking gun anywhere in any of these and the league has a history of trying to pin stuff on people
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:39 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: and a player who is actually part of something like that isn't going to go suing Goodell for defamation if it did happen
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:39 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: like Vilma did
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:39 PM - Carl: What stuff in the history was pinned on people?
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:41 PM - Carl: A player who still won't admit being guilty would...

Jul 30, 2015 at 12:47 PM - Carl: How about Sean Payton apologizing and saying it would never happen again?
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:47 PM - Carl: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7...is-new-orleans-saints-apologize-bounty-system
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:49 PM - Carl: Your link also says some of the materials may have been suspect, not all of them were completely fake.
Jul 30, 2015 at 12:55 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: it doesn't matter if all or some are, you don't ever tamper with evidence, ever
Jul 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM - Carl: Well, if it's not all fake, then there is evidence and Goodell didn't make it all up.
Jul 30, 2015 at 1:01 PM - Carl: Paul also found the league guilty, Payton apologized. Hard to say Goodell made it all up in the face of those.
Jul 30, 2015 at 6:28 PM - Vltrophy: Packers playing Jags in Jax not London next year
Jul 30, 2015 at 8:23 PM - Dan115: so Packer fans will take over Jax
Jul 30, 2015 at 8:26 PM - sschind: that's why the Jags want it in Jacksonville. Its a guaranteed sellout. They'll play someone like the vikings or Lions in London because those teams don't travel nearly as well as the Packers do.

Jul 31, 2015 7:42 AM - Ace: Words can't express how much I despise Russell Wilson, sorry I just had to say that. Have a good day everyone
Jul 31, 2015 8:01 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: I really do hope this is the season that the Packers break this NFC West curse
Jul 31, 2015 8:04 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Besides the fact that he is the QB for the SeaTurkeys, I can't find much I don't like about Russell. I think that Seattle just made a huge mistake in his contract, he is good, but not THAT good.
Jul 31, 2015 8:12 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: I'm feeling a big Packer win in that Sunday night game
Jul 31, 2015 8:13 AM - Green and Gold: HUGE win.
Jul 31, 2015 8:15 AM - Green and Gold: Very interested to hear what actually happened to Abby, from what I read he fell really hard after going up for a ball and he landed ******* his back.
Jul 31, 2015 8:16 AM - Green and Gold: Lets just hope for the best.
Jul 31, 2015 8:26 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Not liking Abby's chances to make the team due to his string of injuries and the deep competition at WR, I guess there is alway the PS for another year but with his concussion history, his career may never get off the ground :(
Jul 31, 2015 9:03 AM - Green and Gold: Concussion.
Jul 31, 2015 10:41 AM - brandon2348: I see a huge win too Carolina. Not only is it at Lambeau this time but Seahawks will be out Jeremy Lane and maybe Earl Thomas. Kam Chancellor is holding out. They went from Byron Maxwell to Kary Williams. Cant't wait for that week and what the line will be.
Jul 31, 2015 2:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Geeze....I really "hate" to read about all of the unrest in Seattle :coffee: http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/...ks-safety-chancellor-considering-holding-out/
Jul 31, 2015 2:23 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I think we're going to beat the 49ers bad too, I don't know how good their current coach is but I highly doubt he's got the ability to maximize talent that Harbaugh had, their O-line got worse over last year, Kap's confidence is down, Gore is gone, I think they're dead meet big time this year
Jul 31, 2015 2:23 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: hell I'd give the Rams a better chance than them
Jul 31, 2015 2:25 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Cardinals might be tough again, but that's a big IF given that they can't keep any QBs hqalthy
Jul 31, 2015 2:25 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: *healthy
Jul 31, 2015 2:57 PM - Pokerbrat2000: PFC....just a little help for you :) if you want to edit a post, roll your mouse over the little down arrow next to that post and click edit :coffee:
Jul 31, 2015 2:58 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: You know I just realized something, the Bucs and Titans game is actually going to steal ratings in week 1 because Winston and Mariota are playing against each other again

Aug 1, 2015 at 6:25 AM - longtimefan: James jones signed one yr deal with giants
Aug 1, 2015 at 10:31 AM - Green and Gold: He's going to New York with pretty decent depth at wide receiver, he should fit in a backup role well.

Aug 2, 2015 at 9:50 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: plus I can't stand Odell Beckam Jr, that guy is 1000x worse than Dez Bryant or Randy Moss
Aug 2, 2015 at 9:53 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: yup I said it, Randy Moss's hateability pales in comparison to OBJ's
Aug 2, 2015 at 4:18 PM - Cwoodson21: I'm happy that James Jones is getting another shot in the NFL. He was a hard working dependable player with good character when he was with the Pack.

Aug 6, 2015 at 11:41 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Read a good article about him today as well GG.......what he lacks in speed he makes up for in skills. Comment was that skill wise, he was ahead of both Randall and Rollins. Sounds like a well grounded guy, who listens to coaches and vets and tries to improve on every snap. Liking his chances
Aug 6, 2015 at 11:57 AM - Vrill: He seems to have "Game Speed" too...he picked off a deep pass intended for Janis.
Aug 6, 2015 at 11:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I know scouts put a lot of emphasis on "track speed"......but when you are comparing track speed to "Game Speed" I will take game speed any day of the week
Aug 6, 2015 at 12:04 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Good article concerning the two right here :) http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/40-speed-vs-football-speed-b99263059z1-258166431.html
Aug 6, 2015 at 12:40 PM - Green and Gold: I could see a situation in which he pairs well with HHCD, a rangy safety with speed to cover him when he gets beat deep.
Aug 6, 2015 at 1:54 PM - Pokerbrat2000: personally, I just want a couple guys back there that don't get beat deep, blow assignments and aren't named Terrell Buckley
Aug 6, 2015 at 2:41 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Also, with the loss of Williams, House and even Bush...getting some depth back at that position would be nice and Gunter just might be another UDFA diamond in the rough
Aug 6, 2015 at 2:54 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: yup Buckley or even worse Ahmad Caroll
Aug 6, 2015 at 3:27 PM - The program 61: Carroll in college was great aka BATMAN was his nickname
Aug 6, 2015 at 8:20 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Almost forgot about Carroll, talking about a real bust....at least Buckley had some stats to show for his playing time
Aug 6, 2015 at 8:58 PM - Shawnsta3: A good way to attack an Ahmad Carroll defense was to throw the ball at his reciever to draw an easy PI. Or at another reciever. Or run the ball. He was really good at racking those things up.

Aug 6, 2015 10:42 PM - Green and Gold: Ahmad Carroll, The pick that finally convinced Bob Harlan to bring in Ted Thompson, because it illustrated how utterly incompetent Mike Sherman was at drafting.
Aug 6, 2015 10:45 PM - Green and Gold: Packers could have had guys like Jason Babin or Jared Allen.
Aug 6, 2015 10:49 PM - Green and Gold: Janis is far from a lock. I think Barclay is pretty much a lock.
Aug 7, 2015 6:03 AM - 7thFloorRA: Barclay is a critical part of the line. He is the top backup.
Aug 7, 2015 6:04 AM - 7thFloorRA: I think Janis is fine but Abby is going to be a victim of cutdown day. This latest concussion has to have sealed his fate. That was a concern on day 1 with him.
Aug 7, 2015 8:14 AM - Vrill: 49ers OLB Aldon Smith arrested for DUI....hit and run.............he has to be close to being done..
Aug 7, 2015 8:18 AM - dbain21: Man..I'll be shocked if the 9ers win more than 7 games this season
Aug 7, 2015 8:39 AM - Green and Gold: Niners crumbling.
Aug 7, 2015 12:48 PM - ExpatPacker: Jezuz, I can't stand the 49ers but this is just unbelievable. Aldon Smith, hit and run, vandalism???? See you in prison Aldon.
Aug 7, 2015 1:34 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: funny thing that the subject of the 49ers just got brought up because all the sudden I thought of how funny it is that they blew that money on that dud Reggie Bush
Aug 7, 2015 1:41 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Smith was released
Aug 7, 2015 1:44 PM - Pokerbrat2000: wonder if the Cowboys need a linebacker?
Aug 7, 2015 1:48 PM - Pokerbrat2000: some great talent wasted there.....if Reggie was alive and playing in GB, I would say bring that talent here and let Reggie reign him in
Aug 7, 2015 3:12 PM - Vrill: Aldon Smith is arguably the best pass rushing 3-4 OLB in the NFL when his head is on straight
Aug 7, 2015 4:12 PM - TeamTundra: Guion's appeal to be heard on August 24th
Aug 7, 2015 4:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Yup...and Smith is only 25....
Aug 7, 2015 4:22 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Peppers, Matthews and a "cleaned up" Smith would be dream
Aug 7, 2015 4:32 PM - adambr2: No to Smith. You can't fix stupid.
Aug 7, 2015 4:38 PM - adambr2: Besides, with his record he's not going to see the field anytime soon.
Aug 7, 2015 7:13 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think he is beyond being an arrogant rich athlete acting the fool. This guy has a serious problem.
Aug 7, 2015 7:34 PM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL.....I agree, all I was saying was a cleaned up smith......which I think since the 49ers finally gave up on him....isn't going to happen anytime soon, thus the "dream part"
Aug 7, 2015 7:50 PM - Wood Chipper: BTW to anyone who likes fantasy football. Go to the fantasy football section of the forum and join the PFFFL V :)
Aug 7, 2015 8:35 PM - Green and Gold: Money was proven to be from his game checks, the gun was licensed, and the weed was a possesion charge only.
Aug 7, 2015 8:35 PM - Green and Gold: Guion will be fine.

Aug 8, 2015 6:50 AM - Pokerbrat2000: No matter what happens with Guion's appeal, in a way the whole thing was a win for the Packers. They were able to sign him for less money in yet another "prove it" one year contract, one in which Guion should be highly motivated to show what he can do.
Aug 8, 2015 7:00 AM - Eli Haugen: smith should be picked up by a small town team with solid moral players, and a strong leadership structure. He wont get into trouble if he doesnt have a half dozen 10's trying to pour cocaine on their cooch, and say lets go drive your lamborgini...
Aug 8, 2015 8:25 AM - The program 61: do you think we need to re-sign hayward this offseason is it a must?
Aug 8, 2015 8:25 AM - The program 61: Also what type of contract do you think he would get on the FA market and in house
Aug 8, 2015 9:10 AM - Vrill: Hayward will depend on how he looks this coming season compared to these rookies we drafted. if a rookie or two steps up and looks good, but Hayward stays status quo, we let Hayward walk most likely. We have a lot of good young talent in the secondary.
Aug 8, 2015 10:52 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I agree Vrill.....liking our depth and youth in the secondary
Aug 8, 2015 11:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I know its just "practice" tonight, but I am actually kind of pumped to see the "2015 Green Bay Packers"!
Aug 8, 2015 12:51 PM - JK64: Useless NFL network not showing this, even on tape delay. We be getting plenty of cowboys an tom brady.
Aug 8, 2015 12:57 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: wait is tonight the scrimmage at Lambeau?
Aug 8, 2015 1:01 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: if it is, I think Fox 11 and 6 both broadcast it online
Aug 8, 2015 1:32 PM - Pokerbrat2000: 7 PM on FOX
Aug 8, 2015 4:10 PM - Green and Gold: I've read a couple of places that Hayward hasn't exactly had the best camp.
Aug 8, 2015 4:19 PM - The program 61: I know in a perfect world we always win the super bowl but if hayward stays and is good and not overpaid. We have most key players for 2 more year i see potential for back to back championships before the team gets blown up.
Aug 8, 2015 4:27 PM - The program 61: http://www.acmepackingcompany.com/p...ily-night-2015-practice-time-online-streaming
Aug 8, 2015 4:27 PM - The program 61: family night
Aug 8, 2015 5:09 PM - adambr2: Just had to remind us how our season ended last year.
Aug 8, 2015 6:54 PM - Green and Gold: HHCD pick on Rodgers very Nick Collins-esque with the toe tap.
Aug 8, 2015 8:20 PM - Vltrophy: Heard the fireworks from Ashwaubanon where I live. Bout 2 miles from Lambeau
Aug 8, 2015 8:26 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I could hear the rumblings of SuperBowl L (Lombardi) all the way down here in Madison!
Aug 8, 2015 8:53 PM - Raptorman: I was hooked on the hokey pokey but I turned myself around.

Aug 9, 2015 at 11:57 AM - Vltrophy: My condolences to Frank Giffords family & friends as he has died at the age of 84
Aug 9, 2015 at 12:01 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Frank had one of the best voices on air IMO
Aug 9, 2015 at 12:23 PM - longtimefan: st norberts dorms??
Aug 9, 2015 at 12:23 PM - longtimefan: or raddison in
Aug 9, 2015 at 2:08 PM - The program 61: longtimefan in foxborough is that your best guess? thank you
Aug 9, 2015 at 3:39 PM - longtimefan: Figured they were playing in gb
Aug 9, 2015 at 3:40 PM - longtimefan: No clue if in NE
Aug 9, 2015 at 4:00 PM - Narveson: It's in Foxborough
Aug 9, 2015 at 5:30 PM - Zartan: Does anyone wanna take part in the roughest toughest Fantasy League the Packers fans have. Take part in the The PFFFL Year IV
Aug 9, 2015 at 6:09 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I like these new extra point rules
Aug 9, 2015 at 6:10 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: watching the hall of fame game
Aug 9, 2015 at 6:22 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: was about to say kudos to the officials for keeping flags in the pockets until that last series
Aug 9, 2015 at 6:47 PM - TeamTundra: Vikings Trae Waynes having a poor night.
Aug 9, 2015 at 7:47 PM - TeamTundra: Jesse James having even a worse night.
Aug 9, 2015 at 8:54 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I think (hope) that the Vikes really reached on Trae Waynes...I wasn't impressed with him in college and not tonight
Aug 9, 2015 at 8:55 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: Yeah I was only watching a little bit to get my nfl fix back for a little, but preseason's become a lot harder to get into lately

Aug 10, 2015 7:03 AM - Green and Gold: Cobb is our third string holder, it would be pretty cool to see a fake FG with him out there.
Aug 10, 2015 7:14 AM - The program 61: we should just put him out there every snap
Aug 10, 2015 7:14 AM - The program 61: then they wouldnt expect it coming
Aug 10, 2015 7:17 AM - The program 61: not realstic though
Aug 10, 2015 11:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I prefer when a team uses the 2nd string QB to hold for FG's and PAT's.......provides stability at the position AND a skilled player in case something goes wrong with the snap or a fake is called (unless you are Jon Ryan and playing the 2014 Packers)
Aug 10, 2015 3:14 PM - Vltrophy: Patriots cut Flynn. He should retire IMO. He has a SB ring thx to Rodgers & got a sweet payday from the seahags a couple years ago
Aug 10, 2015 4:00 PM - ivo610: Retire? He should keep taking jobs as long as they are offering
Aug 10, 2015 5:10 PM - Dan115: Happy Birthday to The Green Bay Packers-11 Aug 1919
Aug 10, 2015 6:42 PM - Green and Gold: Mandell's inconsistency clicking with Crosby on placeholding is probably what sank him.
Aug 10, 2015 6:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: If Flynn can get healthy, someone will pick him up. He is only 30 and IMO a serviceable back-up or 3rd guy
Aug 10, 2015 7:15 PM - Green and Gold: If Flynn was legit, he'd be starting somewhere. Period. No one is cutting a guy they honestly think is a good starting QB. He wouldn't be a FA for more than 20 minutes if he was all that those fond memories would have some beleive.
Aug 10, 2015 7:16 PM - Green and Gold: If salary cap is an issue, you make room if you think he's good. You restructure or resign.
Aug 10, 2015 7:40 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Flynn's days as a starter passed him bye, be still think he is better then a lot of #2's and #3's on many teams, if he gets healthy someone will sign him to vet minimum. If Tolzien or AR *gulp* would go down.....Packers might jump at signing him (healthy)
Aug 10, 2015 8:12 PM - Green and Gold: Too many Packer fans hold on to the Flynn highlight reel from his time here years ago. He's not that guy anymore.
Aug 10, 2015 8:12 PM - Green and Gold: And according to all other indicators, he was never really " that guy" anyhow as if seen by every team that has cut him since.
Aug 10, 2015 8:13 PM - Green and Gold: Is he a solid backup? Hard to say. At best, he's serviceable. The only thing he's got going for him here is "he knows our system" And I'm not trying to totally downplay that, however the idea of clinging onto the guy for that reason has long lost its luster.
Aug 10, 2015 8:14 PM - Raptorman: IF Flynn was a solid backup, he would be on the Packers. The fact that they don't want him tells me all I need to know.
Aug 10, 2015 8:54 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Packers obviously see more in Tolzien or Flynn wanted out, but G and G you are correct, as a backup, he has more value to the Packers them most teams due to his knowledge of the system. He played ok in the Dallas win a few years back

Aug 10, 2015 9:10 PM - 7thFloorRA: Flynn's asset was knowing the offense. Tolzien is a far superior qb physically. They probably felt he was up to speed now.
Aug 11, 2015 3:39 AM - adambr2: Flynn doesn't owe us anything and we don't owe him anything. He was effective in our system and he was able to fool Seattle into thinking he was a starter and turn that limited success he had with us into more money than most backups will ever see. Good for him.
Aug 11, 2015 5:57 AM - greenandgold: I was really glad when Rodgers tied Flynn's 6 TD game Green Bay record, only Rogers did it in one HALF!
Aug 11, 2015 10:59 AM - desertdog55: Flynn was a flash in the pan, one game, heck, almost any player has one game in them....Seattle took that and ran with it....OUCH. He was never more than a second or third guy....and now he's not even that. He had his 15 minutes of fame and got paid...which is more than a lot of guys have.
Aug 11, 2015 11:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I would respectfully disagree with that assessment of Flynn. A starter he is not, I agree. But when Rodgers went down in 2013 and Seneca Wallace and Scott Tolzien were awful, Flynn came in and did a creditable job (see Dallas game). Ask yourself this, if given the choice who would you want starting for GB this year, Flynn, Blanchard or Hundley?
Aug 11, 2015 11:12 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Geno Smith to miss 6-10 weeks after getting his jaw broken in a locker room fight
Aug 11, 2015 11:13 AM - Pokerbrat2000: lol...nice....why doesn't that surprise me?
Aug 11, 2015 11:14 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Ikemefuna Enemkpali is looking for a job!
Aug 11, 2015 11:42 AM - The program 61: why wouldnt aaron break the single game td record that game where he threw 6 in a half some unwritten code?
Aug 11, 2015 11:42 AM - The program 61: tom brady would of done it
Aug 11, 2015 11:52 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Backup Matt Flynn took over with 7:44 left in the third quarter and the Packers leading 45-7. Wasn't worth leaving Rodgers in from an injury standpoint, just to break a record. Imagine the fan backlash had he been left in and injured?
Aug 11, 2015 11:55 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I doubt McCarthy left the choice up to Aaron either
Aug 11, 2015 11:57 AM - Pokerbrat2000: that was an awesome showing of the Bears defense over 2 weeks! They gave up 38 in the first half the week before to NE and 42 to GB.....80 points in 2 halves!
Aug 11, 2015 12:17 PM - The program 61: if theyt didnt get to him for the first 30 min didnt see that changing lol
Aug 11, 2015 12:18 PM - The program 61: heres a question. Which current player would you want on the packers if we could sign as a free agent.
Aug 11, 2015 12:48 PM - adambr2: JJ Watt
Aug 11, 2015 1:01 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Luke Kuechly would be in my top 10, based on need
Aug 11, 2015 1:45 PM - The program 61: I would want thomas david since he wont break the bank but i didnt clarify if cap friendly or not lol I wanted pack to draft him back in 07 but they went with harrell cant remember if he was gone by the pack turn but i was sad.
Aug 11, 2015 2:00 PM - adambr2: Are you referring to Thomas Davis? He was drafted in '05. He's solid but major injury history and getting a bit old in football years.
Aug 11, 2015 2:01 PM - adambr2: JMO
Aug 11, 2015 2:46 PM - longtimefan: flynn failed the NE physical ...
Aug 11, 2015 2:48 PM - longtimefan: Mcknown was really good with the Bears..He stunk it up in Tampa last year..A OC and HC work woners for a player..my point with Wallace was he could have been okay here...Just as Josh was good for the bears
Aug 11, 2015 2:48 PM - Pokerbrat2000: 2005 the Packers picked Rodgers with the 24th pick, glad Thomas Davis wasn't still on the board then! :coffee:
Aug 11, 2015 2:49 PM - longtimefan: proof is Josh stunk where ever he has gone, Other than in Chicago with aOC that knew how to use him....Wallace could have been that way here..No one gave hime a chance
Aug 11, 2015 2:50 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Flynn has been fighting a hammy for awhile and couldn't get on the Practice field, which is why NE let him loose. If he gets healthy, someone with need, will pick him up IMO
Aug 11, 2015 3:22 PM - Zartan: I wanna give a Happy Birthday to the Green Bay Packers as they turn 96 today
Aug 11, 2015 4:42 PM - Vltrophy: A Jets LB sucker punched his starting QB & broke his jaw
Aug 11, 2015 4:46 PM - Vltrophy: We're having our annual PFFFL fantasy football league and need 3 more teams. Winner gets a trophy at end.
Aug 11, 2015 5:03 PM - adambr2: Wallace is all water under the bridge to me now anyway. No way to tell what would have happened, but we still won the division. All things considered I was happy with the way 2013 ended with all the adversity despite the hard fought loss against the 49ers in the playoffs. Rodgers to Cobb to beat the Bears will always be one of the more memorable Packer moments of this century.
Aug 11, 2015 5:06 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I still have that game on my DVR and watch it on occasion......have to love the comebacks!
Aug 11, 2015 6:30 PM - Vltrophy: Totally awesome game & memory. That play would likely make the top 10 if not close to it
Aug 11, 2015 6:38 PM - Green and Gold: Geno got sucker punched.
Aug 11, 2015 7:20 PM - Green and Gold: Teams like this don't come around often.
Aug 11, 2015 8:09 PM - Zartan: I heard Geno throw the punch but it landed 2 yards short... :roflmao:
Aug 11, 2015 8:09 PM - Zartan: Threw

Aug 11, 2015 at 10:15 PM - adambr2: Can you even imagine if one of our reserve linebackers did that to Rodgers and he was out 12 weeks? Getting cut would be the least of his worries
Aug 12, 2015 at 5:32 AM - Vrill: he probably wouldn't leave GB alive...or he'd need body guards leaving the city...lol
Aug 12, 2015 at 8:47 AM - Ace: I was just thinking about this adambr2. Dear lord
Aug 12, 2015 at 10:25 AM - Green and Gold: Janis seems to have not made many strides from last year. Still suffering from drops and poor route running.
Aug 12, 2015 at 10:27 AM - Green and Gold: Have Rotheram and Ringo done anything to separate themselves from the competition?
Aug 12, 2015 at 11:04 AM - Pokerbrat2000: IK Enemkpali possibly out of football over not getting paid $600......that's like me trying to get a dime back from a co-worker
Aug 12, 2015 at 1:18 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Dallas could maybe use a guy like IK Enemkpali to help keep the peace in the locker room?
Aug 12, 2015 at 1:52 PM - Narveson: http://www.nfl.com/lostandfound
Aug 12, 2015 at 2:37 PM - Ogsponge: the Bills have picked that guy off waivers already
Aug 12, 2015 at 6:11 PM - Vltrophy: I saw the bills picked him up earlier
Aug 12, 2015 at 7:15 PM - Green and Gold: There is no real incentive to go for 2, even with the rule change.
Aug 12, 2015 at 7:15 PM - Green and Gold: Rather than make the game more exciting, it will merely end up costing a team a game.
Aug 12, 2015 at 7:16 PM - Green and Gold: The PAT rule is so awkward now.
Aug 12, 2015 at 7:23 PM - adambr2: As a fantasy football owner I would like to know what coaches plan on going for 2 so I do not draft their kicker. :)

Aug 13, 2015 at 4:39 PM - Carl: Can anyone explain the ruling of a sack on that first play?
Aug 13, 2015 at 4:40 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: They said something about Jones having control by grasping Rodgers
Aug 13, 2015 at 4:40 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: I thought he managed to throw it away
Aug 13, 2015 at 4:41 PM - Carl: He did throw it way, which is why I'm confused.
Aug 13, 2015 at 4:42 PM - weeds: I'd call it a bad call.
Aug 13, 2015 at 4:43 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Rodgers and Nelson are locked in
