However the Front Office was clear when they moved towards more speedy players. Dix (4.59) is average at best as far as speed and he doesn’t fit the direction of this administration going forward.  He was serviceable over his tenure.. but I also think he’s outlasted his welcome. I don’t see him signing for a pay reduction (I don’t believe he sees this either) and that’s what I believe it will take.We are missing a game changing, authoritative type player (like Earl Thomas) who also has the speed to cover up the mistakes of a young CB or LB. We have decent Cap space next year and I believe we will either bid on a FA and land one..or grab his replacement day 1 or 2 of the draft for a fraction of what he probably will ask for $. In the meantime we have a useful player who should get us through the 2018 year with adequate+ play.</blockquote>
