Message: <blockquote data-quote="Phazael" data-source="post: 792515" data-attributes="member: 13193"><p>Finley could not catch a cold in Lambeau in January and could not block worth a damn.  Cobb was and is hit and miss.  Jennings and Jones both are above average guys who AR got the most out of.  Nelson and Driver were talented hard working guys and we also had RBs who could catch and pick up blitzes.   Collectively, its probably the best receiving corps we have ever had since the two SB seasons in the 90s, but still lacked a quality tight end.  I think you can trace the faltering of the offense to right around when Driver retired and some of the other passable guys moved up.  We were left with Nelson as the only consistent one with experience, but one season of Brent Hundley was all it took for them to toss him off the roster, despite leading the corps every other season he played.  This is the same sort of slow slide we endured when they let the talent fizzle out during the tail end of Favre's time here.  Pretty sure AR is drawing that same comparison, at least privately, which is why he raked us over the coals for the cash despite knowing it means he will never get another top tier O-Line as a direct result.</p></blockquote><p></p>
