He was smart enough to look to Woods to mentor him and to try to learn from the best. He is a talented young man. I hope he uses those smarts to take care of himself.

Shields was definitely a 10, but I'm coming up short thinking of anyone else (Tramon's a special case, of course) who even clawed up to a 2. Not worth much of an argument, but the rest of the UDFAs just seemed to come and go. Who am I missing?

Evan Dietrich Smith is the only other player that comes to my mind. Shields was a terrific signing though as he has ranked fifth in opposing passer rating allowed since entering the league in 2010 among all qualifying cornerbacks.
