He's been a good short-range guy, but would he be able to help the team out? He has mainly been an indoor guy kicking off turf for the last few years, makes me wonder how we would do on the tundra. He seems to be a classy guy too(see the bottom of the Saints website link).

Well we do need competition for Rayner, but I don't envision him being much use for the Packers...

I don't think he'll beat out Rayner, Rayner has a monster leg and will become an asset in the upcoming season.

I think the kicker we have is good. I really don't think Carney would be any better then what we have now.
