That couldn't be more true. AT every moment during every day of the year, NFL teams are trying to upgrade at every position. Whether's 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string they're looking for players and planning ahead. It's a 362 day job a year because of that.

I don't know how you can not be concerned about a Safety with no career interceptions, but we've just got to trust TT and MM's judgment until we start sucking.

Manuel is signed to help out in the run mostly. Roman would be the extra coverage guy in dime and nickel situations.

Edit: Bad wording. Manuel will start in the 4-3 base defense because he's good against the run. Roman will play SS in the nickel and dime packages with Carroll being the actual nickel back and probably Hawkins as the dime back.
