I would never want to be a ref. You're always going to p*ss off some people.
Yeah, I have yet to see thread titles such as:
"Thank you refs! I mean it!"
"Your favorite top ten NFL zebras"
"The refs called a fair game today." etc.

I can understand why you might be confused.
You were probably thinking of when Clay Matthews was a guest referee for a wrestling match.
Can't blame ya since Clay and referees are part of this topic.
Clay makes his appearance around 3:30.

You know, this thread caused me to think on a rabbit trail. We often hear how the pre-Super Bowl championships don't count as much. Yet, if you stop to think about it, the game was much more violent back then because there weren't all these rules. They could clothesline, crack back, elbow, gouge, etc. all without the padding, helmets and face masks of today. I also found out there were 22 teams in the 1920's not just 12. Sorry for the rabbit trail, but thought it might be interesting to someone else.
