    original release

The Sacramento Kings have indefinitely excused Ron Artest from the team after he was arrested at his home and later released on $50,000 bail Monday.

The Kings forward was arrested by the Placer County Sheriff's Department following a disturbance at his house in Loomis.

A Placer County Sheriff's Department spokesperson said a female called 911 Monday morning, reporting that she had been assaulted by Artest. Deputies responded and found both parties in the home, but separated. Artest cooperated during the interview and was booked without incident.

The NBA is simply out of control with the thuggery...thank you David Stern! You promote the thug culture, and attract in eve increasing numbers exactly that culture, and sit back and marvel as Las Vegas becomes a war zone during your All-Star embarrassment.

From the sounds of it, NFL PLAYERS are talking with Roger Goodell about the league and teams taking a more aggressive response to the bad apples amongst them. Good for these NFL players!

Maybe Wisconsin can get a two for one deal, Moss (Striking a Police officer with a vehicle) and Artest striking his wife. WE DON"T NEED EITHER OF THEM!!!!!!!!!

On a serious note, the NBA is out of control as Digs said, it is become just plain sad all the way around. The NFL has it's share of "Bad Apples" but not to the ratio that tha NBA has. I can't remember the last NBA game I have watched... seriously.... years.
