Geez, calm down. The point I was trying to make is that Packers fans should appreciate what Favre did on the field for the team although I will never forgive him for what he did afterwards. Just like we do with Lambeau although he didn't leave the Packers on good terms either.

Lofton, in the eyes if these folks, should be treated the same way. He went into the HOF as a Packer--The haters should have shown up in Canton and pelted him with eggs for what he did to his wife, flipping off GB fans and leaving for another team. Same with Jim Taylor.

Rogers will have to take us to at least 1 more Championship in order to forever surpass no. 4's accomplishments in the minds of many fans. As it now stands, neither is in position to replace Bart Starr's position as the greatest of the franchise. The same reasoning is used to rate coaches; making it virtually impossible for anyone to surpass Lombardi.

First point, you're trying really hard to compare apples to oranges. You even indicated that it's nothing more than rumors with Lambeau correct? You said "Many fans and executive committee members believed that Lambeau ....."

What we're dealing with with Sir Brent are not rumors they're facts. Two VERY DIFFERENT things.

Second point, if we know for a fact Lambeau pulled that, he## ya I would be against that! I agree it doesn't get any worse than that if we're comparing Packer history and egregious acts against the team.

I also don't get that mindset though. It's like people that bring up the Spanish Inquisition when somebody dares mention Islamic "extremists". You know the crowd... "Ya, well, Christians killed people in the name of religion also!"

If people back in that day REALLY believed that's what Lambeau was up to, shame on them for not dealing with Lambeau like he should have been dealt with. There are plenty of great Packers we could name that field after! Two wrongs don't make a right.

You keep using that word but the only things ridiculous here are every one of your posts on the subject. There is no comparison to Brentd's level of BS that he pulled, the amount of crap he pulled, and all that he did against this franchise, verses ANY other Packer. None.

No doubt what Favre did was wrong, but I can't sit here and ignore all the great things he did for the Packers. After being a laughingstock for two decades, he and Holmgren resurrected the franchise and led it to a Super Bowl title. Sure, it was only one title, but he kept us competitive nearly every year. Only 1 losing season out of 16 is pretty impressive. I was quite upset when he went to the Vikings and did view it as a sort of betrayal. But time heals all wounds, and mine have healed up significantly. I can acknowledge the great things he did for this franchise despite a messy couple years at the end.

Agreed. However, if I had a choice between the two I would take Rodgers. He is great on and off the field regardless of another SB.
