I worked in an area of commission sales where I had to be able to identify my customers perfectly by clothing and description or my income suffered. I can tell you what everyone in a grocery store line looks like and is wearing clothing wise on both sides of us. I used to never even realize who was next to me when I was young and naive. I’m guessing in law enforcement it’s similar in you know what to look for and it becomes sorta habit from practice.  I’m sure you know there’s an entire art to reading body language and eye contact, it’s very informative if you are aware.</blockquote>
