Seems like the last 3 off-seasons have been nothing but a pissing contest between Rodgers and the Packers front office. Mixed into that, is a game of chicken and one-upsmanship. Rodgers may have earned his huge contract, but at no time, should a player be allowed to hold the team hostage over other personnel decisions, which seems to be the theme of this offseason. Rodgers made it pretty clear that if he doesn't like what the front office is going to do with other players, he will have no part of it. Yet, when he signed his huge extension last season, he told the team that he planned to play two or three more seasons. I guess now it is "well if I play for you another season, I want these guys back too." Great Aaron and do you want to set their prices too, I mean you might as well, you just put the Packers behind the 8 ball in negotiations with them, since they know if they don't sign, you will once again, threaten to retire. It is pretty obvious to me that Rodgers doesn't put any stock into the contract he signed or what he told the Packers when he did sign it. When asked if he had a "no trade clause". Which is really a simple "yes or no" answer that Rodgers knew the answer to. Instead he paused a bit and said something like "well no I don't, but they know if I don't approve the team, it isn't going to happen." Aaron is a great football player, but off the field, a bit too self-centered and all about him, not really all about the team, which is what it feels like he wants you to think.
