So, the Pack brought in B.J. Hill, a kick return specialist from ..... wait for it ..... the Green Bay Blizzard!!! I'm sure you're all up to speed on the fact that the Blizzard play in the IFL - Indoor Football League. So, yeah, we got that going for us... which is nice.

Here's something on the kid: http://www.greenbayblizzard.com/NewsDetail.php?ID=683

Screams desperation. But, who knows.

LMAO....wow...TT could you get any more cheap, ya tight ***? Would hate to be on the recieving end of a christmas gift from him, he might just get me a KMart gift card for $20

B.J. Hill, huh? does our NFL kick-offs suddenly bounce off a tightly suspended net and back to the kick returner? when did this happen? lol
what a turd.

There's legitimacy to your statements, but in the end, if they find a good returner that's all that I care about. If Hill turns out to be a phenom then you'll be changing your tune, but I think it's most likely that you're right.

Why are we ripping a try out? Has no great player ever been found playing outside of the NFL? Its a try out... I dont see the issue anyone should have with him following up on a player he has heard about.

As far as TT being "cheap" we have a league minimum. He isnt going to pay him $500 a week.... On top of that almost any player signed to be a returner at this point is going to go for league minimum.

I will most gladly eat my words if he does work out.....but with the names that are available or the people that we have already one the team that could be a possible KR/PR, why not look inhouse vs looking to a cheap NFL wannabe? This is some sort of far reach for TT, I would give our guys a shot before looking to another version of football. Im sure we have someone that would be more serviceable than Ross was, hell, my old *** is more serviceable than RossTard is lol

it's not like they are signing guys sight unseen. it's a tryout and i'm glad they're willing to turn over a few rocks to look.

As for looking in house, they've done that. Everyone worth getting a look got one in training camp. Now is the time to see if there is anyone better from outside of the organization.

If he gets us a few decent returns a game and doesn't drop the ball and keeps Cobb and Hyde and Tramon Williams and Franklin from getting hurt then I'm totally fine with it. We don't need an all-world returner out there with this offense, and just because you've heard a guy's name before doesn't mean he's better than a guy you've never heard of, especially if the guy you've heard of is old and beaten down.

TT is cheap smh. How much would it cost to get Usain Bolt to come to Green Bay to return kicks???

I love how you think this means TT is just being cheap. Is there a higher priced guy available that you believe would make the difference? I can almost promise you - no. And even if there was, how does this mean TT is being cheap?

Also, you have to consider what the Packers have facing them this coming offseason as far as free agents: Shields, Raji, James Jones (and I know there's others), and Jordy and Cobb the following year. So, yeah, I'd hope that TT would try to find cheaper solutions for a return man considering everything.

Hard to say who we can bring in at this point. Although with how important and hard of a job being kick returner is, I wouldn't trust just anybody, especially someone who isn't even in the league.

Can't Franklin return kicks?

If he was put on the 90 man roster at the start of the offseason, I'd not think much of it. But we're into the season, tryouts are just tryouts, and there's no useable tape on the guy.

Agreeance. Its not that hard to find a guy with return experience. I mean its not like were saying who should replace Desmond Howard, its Ross. I'd take anyone on that list and have it keep Cobb from having to do it.
