He said "Owners and Organization's love their families more than mine."

Well, we don't have an owner Clifton!!!

Guess Thompson low balled him. Probably still negotiating is my guess.

Relax guys, we don't know anything yet. We have no idea how much of what was owed, how the workout went, what the coaches thought of him or any of the details. Besides, I have a tear in my Jump To Conclusions mat, so lets calm down a bit, eh? :happy0005:

Well here was my tweet to him:
Packer13acker Everyone wants to see @CliftonSmith22 in Green and Gold! Packers next Desmond Howard?

And his response:
CliftonSmith22 I would love to be in green and gold it was a dream of mine growing up to the leap after I scored!! But this is a cold business and I have
CliftonSmith22 To go where it was in the best for me and my family... Because after this game is over my Lil girl won't have to work for anybody

So anyone's guess is good as mine.. sounds indeed like Ted is lowballing a pro-bowler..

To be honest, we don't know what was offered vs. what he's getting in Miami. Even if Ted is "Low balling a pro-bowler," he's been injury prone lately and also supposedly seems to have a case of the fumbles. I mean, there's a reason why Tampa Bay let him go and no one was in a hurry to grab him off waivers.

Nah, I get what you're saying, but the thing is, we can't play to be safe. We have to play to win. Having Tramon return kicks is putting the best possible guy we have in a position of need.

You don't win championships by playing to keep everyone safe. You win championships by playing to win.

Where'd you see concussions were the issue?

He gets to stay in Florida instead of coming to cold weather GB. Not surprising at all that he'd take Miami over Green Bay.

He also has a knee injury from what I've read from the preseason.

TB has 3 guys who are quality return specialists who've had touchdowns with TB, but they can play other positions. Smith can play HB but he always fumbles.

OK, well, then I honestly can't blame Ted for not opening the vault for him.

And as I said before, you gotta give Ted credit for bringing in someone for a look. Who knows, maybe we find someone else pretty quick.

That's true, and for the record I'm not a Ted hater.

oh well, we also tried out gerald alexander today, a former starting saftey for the lions and jags. he could really help out with our safety issues this season.

I think we're jumping the gun here

Man green bay was amazing I loved the great tradition out here now it's time to fly to option #2 and make a decision

On my way to Miami now

Sounds like hes just getting ready to go out to Miami rather than actually signing with them. Sounds like he's just in the negotiation process with the two teams and seeing who'll give him the most. Now, I think he'd prefer Miami more than Green Bay because of the weather and familiarity with Florida... and TT prob won't go hard after him.

We'll probably know tomorrow.

Well, there you go. Although catching punts and kickoffs in GB in the middle of winter has to concern him, especially with his high fumble rates.

If this goes through, I'll be very happy. I do NOT want Tramon Williams returning punts. He's the starting CB, he should NOT be returning punts.

If it's a matter a money, there isn't much of an excuse.

If the doctors are concerned, that's another thing. The extra compensation we would have to give to get him over another team is nothing compared to adding a specialist and keeping key players off the return team.

I still think I'm the only one who remembers his like 80 yard return against us last year. He is what we need for a real threat in the return game. Quit insulting the guy with lowballs and BS excuses to justify them and just sign him. I imagine Miami will seal the deal tomorrow but we did have a chance first and we probably could have stopped him from ever taking that flight.

Where are you getting all of this information? What's the Miami part of the story?

I can't find anything on this story anywhere.
