GREEN BAY – Joe Whitt calls it “The Stud List.” And while one of the elite NFL receivers on said list – the Atlanta Falcons’ Julio Jones, on Monday night – torched his guys like no other receiver has in the franchise’s 94-year history, the Green Bay Packers cornerbacks coach has, on balance, felt quite good about how the Packers have fared against the other “studs” they’ve faced.

“We've done really well all year," Whitt said. “Everybody has career days at some point. Julio had his on us."

The more perplexing part of Jones’ performance was that it appeared the Packers never bothered to double him, even though he had 100 receiving yards at halftime – and then caught a 79-yard pass on the first play of the third quarter.

Defensive coordinator Dom Capers said Friday that the Packers’ struggles might have made the approach misleading to the naked eye.

“I think if you go back and look at the tape, there was a lot of times he wasn’t singled. We just didn’t execute well,” Capers said.
