I have seen Favre often turn it around and get on fire. Unfortunately, against a good team the three and outs became too much for the "D" to handle. NE gained all the confidence and momentum, got their hands around our throats, and never let go.
It wasn't too long before the "0" line must have felt there were 15 guys on the other side of the ball. That's what happens when a team has the luxury of a lead and is facing a QB that is off his game.
If Brett had gotten it back on track after the fumble and we score there it could have turned it in our favor. It was just not to be that day.
