There are more question marks surrounding the tight ends than anywhere else. Bubba Franks has just about received the most biting criticism he's ever gotten when today's Green Bay Press-Gazette questioned whether Franks will even make the Packers' roster. There's been every opportunity in the world for young players like Zac Alcorn and Clark Harris to make an impression, but neither of them has really seized it. And don't think the coaches haven't noticed. "One of those young guys needs to jump up and take advantage of the opportunity," coach Mike McCarthy is quoted as saying in the Press-Gazette. Even Donald Lee hasn't been outside the world of criticism despite being the starter. "The tight ends had a tough game," according to Packer Update in response to Saturday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm not concerned (about the tight ends), but we've got some areas where we want to make sure we upgrade the group.
