Packers virtually meeting with Ambry Thomas

From The Draft Network: “Thomas was most effective in coverage playing in press and disrupting route releases inside the contact window—he’s a physical player who does well when able to get his hands on the receiver and upset the timing of patterns."

Thomas had a solid 2019 season, but sat out 2020.

I love Ambry in the 4th, I just think he will be gone and am not high enough on him for our 3rd.

Odd.....Walter now has trimmed back their reported tracking page, does include a few names I haven't heard like JaCoby Stevens and Brenden Jaimes...both are intriguing guys at the right spot:

  • K.J. Britt, Linebacker, Auburn (VIR)
  • Zaven Collins, Outside Linebacker, Tulsa (VIR)
  • Demetric Felton, Wide Receiver, UCLA (VIR)
  • Thomas Graham Jr., Cornerback, Oregon (VIR)
  • Brenden Jaimes, Offensive Tackle, Nebraska (VIR)
  • Teven Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State (VIR)
  • Greg Newsome II^, Cornerback, Northwestern (VIR, PRO)
  • Asante Samuel Jr., Cornerback, Florida State (VIR)
  • JaCoby Stevens, Outside Linebacker, LSU (VIR)
  • Ambry Thomas, Cornerback, Michigan (VIR)
  • Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame (VIR)
  • Trill Williams, Cornerback, Syracuse (VIR)

Lol. So now they’re not saying how many times a player has met?

I’m telling you...Walter either uses dubious sources or just makes **** up.

Packers Wire stopped updating that page for some reason and did solo stories, few to mention:

Frank Darby WR - Arizona State prospect https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/10/packers-meet-with-arizona-state-wr-frank-darby/

Quinn Meinerz iOL - Wisconsin Whitewater prospect https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/12/packers-in-contact-with-uw-whitewater-ol-quinn-meinerz/

Eli Stove KR/PR/WR - Auburn prospect https://packerswire.usatoday.com/20...-with-auburn-receiver-and-returner-eli-stove/

Stove is a solid #2 but if Adams were to go down we'd have to have one of the other guys step up and be the #1 while Adams was hurt.

Wait...you think Stove is actual #2 level WR at the next level? I strongly disagree, didn't really do anything excellent except as a gunner.

He was a possession receiver with Bo Nix (Whom I don't think is great) as his QB. With Rodgers he's a 2.

Stove...

1) Small

2) Bad Athlete

3) Not Productive

4) Old

Not only is this not a #2 receiver; I doubt he makes a roster.

Please Gary,

TELL ME you aren't trying to tell me Bo Nix is a great quarterback

I am not.

Stove just isn’t very good.

He’s not big, he’s not explosive, he’s not fast. He was their 3rd WR at Auburn. I doubt he’s could ever be WR2 in GB. In fact, I’d be surprised if he’s in the NFL in 3 years.
