Sunseri could be candidate for Packers

The Panthers' coaching staff is untouchable right now, but once the postseason is over don’t be surprised if there is movement.

Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri could be a candidate for the defensive coordinator job in Green Bay. New Packers coach Mike McCarthy and Sunseri are old friends, dating back to their days growing up together in Pittsburgh.

McCarthy can’t ask for permission to talk to Sunseri until the Panthers’ season is over, but some insiders believe McCarthy is willing to wait.

Nolan said if MM inquired about him he would not let him talk to MM, then he retracted that statement by saying 'well i'd talk to mike an see if he was interested first'

Honestly, I can't see Singletary being interested in coming to his old rival.

as for the 'old friend' i hope our staff stays away from hiring old friends... unless their talent merits their hiring... i want a packers team, not a brady bunch reunion on turf

Some other coordinator candidates that undoubtedly will draw consideration from McCarthy would be Dave McGinnis, Rod Marinelli, **** Jauron, Steve Spagnuolo, Jerry Gray, Joe Vitt, Ted Cottrell, Vic Fangio, Emmitt Thomas and Bob Sanders.
