After the "bizarre" and "weird" Falcons win, do we still have a chance of beating them out ofr a wild card spot? Obviously I would rather play against the Seahawks again than any NFC South team because of the divisional tiebreakers.
They would need to lose 2 of the last 3 and the Packers would have to win out.

But it's interesting because we might need for them to beat the Panthers in week 17.

Besides the panthers falcons and seahawks, there's an outside chance of the rams losing 3 of their next 4 and being 10-6

The reason the Browns are winless is their pitiful turnover differential due mostly to Kizer's poor decision making. Their yardage differential and defense are superior to the Packers. Without AR, the Browns are a better team than the Packers if Kizer can avoid multiple picks. Talk of a possible playoff run is a little premature given that the winless Clowns will have their best chance to pick up a victory against the Packers who could easily give up a career game to Kizer. Look at Trubisky. He went for 300 yards against Capers defense and has basically sucked against evertbody else.

The Rams will likely win the division. We don't have to worry about theem if they beat the Eagles. We need one of these scenarios to get in:

Seahawks: We win out; they lose twice.
Falcons: They lose out; we win out.
Panthers: We win out (includes HTH)

Hopefully it won't be the one who throws for 80-something yards against the league's worst pass defense...ya know?
While none of us want him to throw 80 something yards, it’s important to know that the Cleveland Defense is NOT even close to the worst pass Defense.
They’re currently ranked 17th against the pass and top 10 against the run. They’ve also given up the #6 fewest rushing yards in the league.
Also notable is the Cleveland Defense also ranks top #10 in total yards given up altogether including run and pass.
If we go in thinking their pass Defense is the worst we’re gonna be severely disappointed.

The Falcons could win one more game and we would be ahead of them if we win out. They're currently 8-5. If they finish 1-2, they go 9-7, the Packers would be 10-6.

Dream scenario includes the Falcons losing the next two (Bucs, Saints) and beating the Panthers week 17. This would guarantee the playoffs for the Packers, assuming of course that they win out.

One thing to keep in mind here is we don't need both the Panthers and Falcons to be out of it. Two NFC South teams can get in and then we take the other spot. Also, seedintg is important. We probably will be #6 with the #5 team coming from the NFC South (Carolina or Atlanta). What would it take to clinch the #5 seed instead, if that is possible?

Why wouldn't we want for both the Panthers and Falcons to be out of it? If that happens, we're guaranteed a spot if we win out. Because that would mean the Saints win the South, the Eagles have all but wrapped up the East, the Vikings have all but wrapped up the North, and the wild card would come from the West. Only two West teams have the opportunity to make the playoffs. One will be the division winner, and one will be the wild card (Rams or Seahawks).

In a head to head tie breaker, the Packers would get in over either the Rams or the Seahawks.

A Carolina loss tomorrow gives the Packers a ton of possibilities as far as making the playoffs.

Week 14 key matchups:

Packers @ Browns (obviously)
Vikings @ Panthers
Lions
@ Bucs (even though we control our own destiny over the Lions, an insurance loss would be nice)
Cowboys @ Giants (ditto for the Cowboys)
Seahawks @ Jaguars
Eagles @ Rams

Need all teams in bold to lose.

I said Carolina OR Atlanta can get in and we take the other spot. New Orleans will win the division.

Seattle is in a tight battle with Atlanta for one wild card spot. They seem to be switching off every week. Because Atlanta owns the first tiebreaker, it will be harder for Seattle to get in. Face it, there is no way only one NFC South team gets in this year.

Hundley and the whole team has gone through growing pains.
But now everyone is seeing the potential of Greenbay beating the lowly browns. The MVP coming back, and Greenbay going for a Superbowl run....

Without #12, we are seeing Greenbay win in different ways. Daniels, Clark, lowry are playing tough up front.
The running game is having it's moments, and is on a upswing. Adams is rising up as a #1. and with #12, Jordy is still a #1.
All is a recipe for things to come together for the playoffs... should we win out, that is.... lol

Rodgers with a respectable running game, and a defense with a strong front.... success.

Sigh*

People keep overlooking the fact that the Browns have lost 4 games by less than a touchdown...all 4 of those QBs are better than Hundley.

4 out of 12 isn't very good, rodell. They're winless for a reason. No excuse to lose to them today.

Another nugget about the Rams. They have Eagles today, then at Seahawks, at Titans, and finish with a 49ers team that could be catching their stride with Jimmy G behind center. I think we have two legit shots at picking up a playoff spot over NFC West teams.

Just to provide a little optimism for the Packer faithful, if the Packers win out, and the following results take place today:

Eagles over Rams
Jaguars over Seahawks
Vikings over Panthers

The Packers have a 97% chance of making the playoffs.

I know it...and that is what alarms me about this game. Their offense is as mish-mash as ours ... but their defense if markedly better than ours. If Hundley can put up his usual 17 points ... we might have a puncher's chance.
